Came in this past Wednesday evening with a party of 5. Our waitress was sweet and I don’t think a lot of the issues we encountered were solely due to her but -ordered a ranch water and got a margarita -ordered the trio with the queso, salsa & guacamole & chips. The queso, salsa & guac came out and we did not receive the chips until about 30 minutes later. Salsa tasted like marinara sauce. -ordered our main courses and waited over 45 minutes. Our waitress came by and said it was going to be a bit longer than expected. -Another 15 minutes pass and our waitress said our food got given to the wrong table. -Waited another 15 minutes and I finally asked her if we could please close out without food if we do not receive our food in the next 10 minutes (it was 9pm at this point and we had been waiting for 2 hours). -We then waited another 15 minutes without food and I asked a waitress to please grab our waitress as we wanted to close out without food. This waitress told me she’d send over the manager. As soon as I sat back down, our food came out. At this point, I gave the waitress my credit card and told her to please close out the tab so we could eat and be on our way.
Once she walked away, we started on our main courses that took over an hour-hour & a half to receive. One person in our party ordered the chicken quesadillas and the chicken was RAW. The chicken was thinly sliced so it’s like they seared it for 2 seconds and called it a day. A few of us were terrified of eating our chili gravy covered meat because we couldn’t tell if it was cooked or not, so most of us didn’t eat. The manager then finally came over, to which the raw chicken was pointed out, and she aggressive said “YUP THATS RAW” and snatched the plate away. Never offered to replace the meal.
My card was charged for the full amount due to the waitress swiping my card before we realized our food was raw. The manager said she’d refund us for the food and only charge us for the alcohol/drinks ordered. I still have the main charge pending so am hoping she was honest in saying she’d refund the amount. If not, I’ll handle it with my credit card company. But, the manager was very passive aggressive and unprofessional in handling the horrific service and the fact that patrons of her establishment were being served raw food and having to wait 2 hours.
Don’t recommend this place unless you want to be met with horrible service, long wait times, horrible management, and...
Read moreAshley, the "manager," is not properly trained in customer service. Although the drinks took a while, the rest of the service was mostly satisfactory. Here's what happened.. I ask Ashley if we could have the sound for the NHL Western Finals game 5. She said, "No, I'm not putting sound on for hockey because there's a Houston Rockets game coming on at 7:30. Plus, we only play sound for Dallas games.." Mind you, the game I asked to hear was DALLAS Stars vs Vegas Golden Knights, AND the Houston Rockets' season was already over, after losing in game 5 to the LA Lakers, so we then asked our bartender if it was possible to get the sound. The bartender then proceeded to ask "Miss Ashley," about putting on the sound, and instead of answering either way, Ashley saw it was us asking about it and rudely replied, "I've already dealt with these two," and apparently took it VERY personally that we asked again. I explained that we weren't challenging her, but she was just mistaken about the Rockets game. Still obviously upset for some reason, Ashley then called SECURITY on us, and told them we were being combative and tried to have us escorted out. Although security agreed she was in the wrong, and told us she was just "on another power trip," we were already on our way out anyway, so no big deal.. Seriously, the most childish "manager" of any place I've been to for a long long time. She actually taunted us all the way out the door! She must have been really embarrassed about thinking the Houston Rockets were still in the playoffs, but didn't have to take it out on 2 customers who spent $94 in about an hour. Not to mention, had she put on the sound, we would have stayed 2 more hours to watch the 2nd and 3rd periods. If you go here, good luck not getting thrown out if you ask a simple question! Management is certainly cranky after quarantine.. Normally I wouldn't care about sound for a game, but when someone tries to make me feel like a jerk for even asking, and is flat out WRONG about her snoody little reason-why-not, it's irritating to say the least. She actually had the nerve to bring some print-out over to me and try to prove she's in the right for being horrible at her job. I mean, really, how hard is customer service at a bar, when the only thing someone asked for was sound for a sporting event? How hard would it have been to just say, "No, sorry, we don't do sound." Instead, she threw a little fit. Enjoy your Rockets game,...
Read moreWant to preface by noting on this review that our Server Wesley on Monday August 5th in the evening was outstanding! That being said I really want to let you know about an incident with the Manager on duty that evening.
We were a table of 8 and one of the girls ordered a simple house Margarita on the Rocks. It came and she immediately noted to us that it was too sweet. They passed it around to see if everyone else (3 other people) thought the same. They agreed and after a few minutes she told the waiter, who took it and fixed it right away.
Fast forward to when the bill arrived and it is still on the tab, we tell Wesley and he goes to get it removed. This is when this gets odd.
The manager comes over and begins to argue saying that there was nothing wrong with it and we were trying to screw them (my words not his) out of paying for it. He also tells us that he viewed the security footage and that 1. The drink was made correctly and 2. She passed it all around and drank half of it so there’s no way he’s taking it off the bill.
The total bill for the table was around $250 so clearly the $8.50 really meant nothing.
This guy was very unprofessional and really needs some additional training in de-escalation with customers. For the sake of a drink that likely cost less than $1 to make and serve, he argued the matter to the point where it turned into a scene in the restaurant and ended with the two hostesses staring down one of the girls in our party after we had left.
Just sad that this is how Cadillac Bar and the Landry’s brand is being represented. Certainly...
