Went in, via the drive thru, today at around 12:30-1PM, and ordered a shrimp combo and a "Kat Daddy", which is two pieces of fried fish and shrimp etoufee. Once I drove home, which is off of Weaver Road, therefore, not a quick jaunt, I came to the realization that my etoufee or the rice within was spoiled. I immediately return and am advised that I need to speak to the manager. After a short wait, the manager, Gordon appears at the window. White hair, white beard. I explain to him that either the etoufee is spoiled or the rice is. As I'm midway through explaining, why I believe the entree isn't any good, he interrupts, and asks me if I want gumbo. I brush the interruption off and continue to explain that there were bubbles in the dish and that the dish had a stinky smell, which are both my justifications as to why I believe that something isn't right. He responds anxiously, "I just cooked this this morning." I again try to explain to him that something has gone awry with the dish, and ask him, to smell it. He smells it and defensively affirms, "yea, this was cooked this morning." Then, he asks yet again in a short tone, "do you want gumbo?" Before he leaves the window, I ask that the gumbo and rice not be served together, like the etoufee and rice were, as I know something's not good, either the rice or the etoufee, so I didn't wish to take any chances with consuming spoiled/sour food. After not truly hearing me nor my concerns out in their totality, I ask the manager his name. He responds in a dismissive tone, "Gordon, my name is Gordon" , then, he slams, yes, slams the front window closed. I've not lived in the state of Louisiana/home in 23 years, due to my active military status, and to be met with such disrespect, disregard, and disdain, as I'm attempting to explain that they're selling something spoiled was not only shocking, but an extremely bizarre response. As an eatery your responsible for providing a service as well as commodity, and if your commodity is not viable, then, your service should immediately kick in to overdrive, to acknowledge the problem, be courteous, and possibly resolve the possible issue, and it wasn't. I'm a busy mom, with a professional career. Therefore, I move and operate with a purpose in everything I do, because every moment, every interaction means time out of my day, time that can be utilized to be productive, positive, and this entire situation drained me. Not only was Gordon unprofessional, but the replacement dish, the gumbo, was presented in the most slovenly way, spillage down the sides of the entire container, greasy, non-skimmed coating over it, in a thick roux, not fully cooked long enough because we were able to recognize the texture, the horrid taste, and smell of it. Being originally from the New Orleans area, one knows a good gumbo, and anyone that cooks, knows that it is not when you cook a dish, it's how you store it, which determines its shelf life/viability over time. Please beware of consuming anything that is not fried, as the rice, etoufee, and gumbo were all problematic. In addition, the manager was problematic as well. As a leader/manager of subordinates, who is supposed to be there to lead as an example, Gordon was the least professional and inept communicator of everyone I came into contact with at this location. Very sad, as we're just relocating to town/back to Louisiana, and are trying out spots, because we do eat out several times a week, but attempt to forego traditional hamburger joints.

As you coast into the bustling drive-through, the aroma of crispy, golden fried seafood wafts through your car window, tantalizing your senses. A mouthwatering menu unfurls before you, showcasing a treasure trove of ocean delights—succulent shrimp, flaky fish fillets, and crunchy calamari, all expertly fried to perfection. The cheerful staff greets you with smiles as you savor the anticipation of your feast-to-go, promising a delightful, seaside culinary adventure with every bite.

I just had the most amazing burger. Really juicy and the flavor was perfect. Be sure to grab some napkins.

I ordered the small fish platter. Menu states it feeds 15. Food being, fish, shrimp, hush puppies, fries, fried okra and green beans. $101.00. Get the food via door dash. Has enough fish to feed 2, 7 shrimp, 15 hush puppies, enough okra and green beans for maybe 2 and you get more fries in a McDonald’s kids meal. So I called. Lady hands off the phone to a guy. I asked if we were missing a tray or 2. He said he agrees and has brought up this to the owner but the amount is what he is told to put in the tray which is 4 filets cut up, 15 shrimp and the sides. I understand he is doing his job but JAY, you know good and well there isn’t enough food on that “small platter” to feed 3 very small adults much less, 7 men working the night shift. However, I will take the employees advice and give ol JAY a call in the morning. Only positive was that the 2 fish nuggets and 1, yes 1 shrimp, was decent....

Stopped at Kat Daddy's to pick up lunch today. I pulled up to the window and was greeted by the sweetest lady who seemed like she truly enjoys her job. She graciously read the list of specials for the day to me. Normally I would just get the fried fish or fried shrimp, but was looking for something different today. Ended up trying the Stuffed Baked Potato with grilled shrimp....and it was FABULOUS 👌🏼

Plenty of butter and cheese. Bacon bits and sour cream on the side. Large and well seasoned grilled shrimp 😋 My only complaint is that I could have used 2 or 3 more shrimp for those last couple of bites of potato....my fault though, I ate the others too fast 🤣

But best of all - fast service, great price point, friendly service with a smile! Thank you Kat Daddy's for always being a pleasure to do...
