My sister and I used to go to trivia here every Tuesday night. At first, everybody was nice to us. However, there came a time that one of the servers came up to us and said, "Remember what I told you?" He never told me anything. Somebody came out and insulted my sister and me by sayiong that we didn't take showers (and since I knew people there could be picky, in addition to my regular shower, I always took a shower before going to trivia here). We were told to go home and take showers. In addition to taking showers, I bought Febreeze in order to spray the car an then ONLY my clothes after being in the car since my mother was EXTREMELY sick and refused to take showers (but I couldn't keep her from taking the car, so she would leave her stink in it). Then, a person started a horrible rumor that we used Fabreeze instead of taking showers. We were banned from the establishment. BY THE OWNER who used to be nice to us even though we had ordered food I they had cleared our place AND they had taken my colored pencils and I had to tell them that I wanted them back before I would leave. The bartended even said that my sister and I have mental problems and THAT is rude and unacceptible. We've never had an apology...

We could not eat here the first time we visited because they do not allow children inside. I've heard that they will let you sit outside with your kids but that arrangement is really uncomfortable because they have high top tables with metal stool chairs and no kids menu. So yesterday while we were visiting Lake Charles we ordered carryout through waitr and sat in the parking lot and waited for the food. We waited 40 minutes. We ate in the car with our kids. We ordered two regular hamburgers with coleslaw and the fish and chips. The burgers are a nice size but had absolutely no seasoning whatsoever and were bland and dry. The coleslaw had no seasoning either and was cabbage mixed with mayonnaise. The fish and chips (I liked the tarter sauce) were pretty good but they put pepper all over the french fries and the chips making it almost un-eatable. We may come back and try something else at another point maybe a main entree but from yesterday's experience spending $50 on our meals we were not impressed with the way our food was prepared. For those of you coming off the highway my husband who went inside to pick up our meal said it's extremely tiny and cramped inside. More like a...

Mom was in town so we decided to give this a shot...BEST.DECISION.EVER!!! We went on a friday afternoon about 5 p.m., it was a little loud due to a large party otherwise plenty of room and charm. Greeted by our server Brie who took our drink and app orders. We had scotch eggs, boxty, and fried mushrooms. Everything was fresh, well seasoned, and nice portions. Bri suggested we try the jalapeno ranch with the mushrooms and it was a total homerun. Next we ordered our entrees, fish and chips with mushy peas and one with green beans, and a reuben sandwich with onion rings. Fish and chips were perfectly cook and seasoned. The cod was flaky with a delightful batter and the mushy peas were a real surprise. Smoky and delicate. The green beans were seasoned well and had just a bit of snap. The reuben was unexpected as well, it was a generous portion of tender corned beef and cheese accompanied by crisp onion rings. Finally, dessert, the chocolate pot. OMG!!!

Finally our server Bri is what really made the experience fantastic, she was attentive, engaging, and gave the kind of stellar service that is so hard to find anymore. Even if the food was okay, I would...

MACFARLANE’S CELTIC PUB: Vibes: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - went for Brunch today, every single thing on the menu was so tempting! It’s pretty authentic, all the servers wear kilts. There is indoor & outdoor seating. Decor feels very Irish & broody but fits the setting perfectly. Service is always good from what we’ve experienced Food/drink: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I had the mol bowl, macaroni & cheese, bacon, sausage, & poached eggs with hollandaise sauce (I got no jalapeño) & an Irish coffee. So yummy!! Other favorites are their home fries & ribeye 🤤 med rare. Worth every penny! Accessibility: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - stairs in the front & unpaved, rocky parking lot. All the way to the right of the building there is one parking spot marked with handicap accessible sign (non-paved or lined, no loading area for vehicle with wheelchair ramp) as well as a ramped entry for the building. Mostly hightop tables outside with 3 benched low tops. Inside, there was plenty of low tops with removable chairs. A little crowded but I felt comfortable in my chair. Bathroom was surprisingly accessible with plenty of room in the stall & correctly placed grab bars

We love this cozy irish pub! Location: Kind of tucked away, downtown Lake Charles. GPS takes us pretty close to the location. Near the LC dog park. Parking lot is decent. Atmosphere: Indoor and outdoor seating. Cozy, comfortable seats inside. Small and limited seating available inside. You can sit at the bar, a table or booth/table combo. Decorate with irish-related things. The staff wears kilts. Sometimes they have live singing. Food: We haven't been disappointed in anything yet. We have tried the fried green tomatoes, fried mushrooms, fried pickles, pub fries, roat beef sandwich, fish and chips, onion rings. The pub fries are awesome- corned beef, gravy, fries, etc. The fish and chips are my favorite- not greasy, battered well, and the chips are thinly sliced and fried potatoes (not potato chips or french fries). We have also gone for Sunday brunch. I loved their shrimp and grits. You always get your moneys worth. Service: Friendly, pretty attentive. Most are knowledgeable of the menu. Overall, a great place to go with friends to hang out, eat good food, and be comfortable.

We drove an hour on our anniversary only to find out that "no one under 18 is allowed inside". I can't find any information on GMaps as to whether that was a temporary or permanent policy. We were forced to dine outside in 99°f even though it was the middle of the afternoon and there was practically no one in the restaurant, just because we brought our daughter with us. There was a fan, but I ended up drenched in sweat anyway. My husband ordered a Guinness Foreign Extra Stout, which is a relatively rare type of Guinness that he's only been able to find once before, and it was listed on the menu, and they brought him a regular Extra Stout and the manager insisted that it was the same thing. The food took a long time, they never did bring my daughter's drink, they got my side order wrong, they didn't bring cutlery, and were very inattentive even though it was not busy. None of these last things are huge, but I just had a really negative experience overall, and I'm honestly pretty easy to please.
