Ken's Bar-B-Que — Restaurant in Lake City

I wanted to give this location 1 star, but since the manager did offer me a credit for my next order i'm being nice and giving 2 stars.

Today I picked up my order glanced in the bag to make sure my sauce is there, paid, then went to my car to go to my sisters work to have lunch with her today. Once at my car I checked the bags and the box and realized my sisters corn nuggets were missing. I go back up to the window to let them know, thinking that they probably just forgot them and they were in a separate bag or something. Then they tell me they need to see the bags. So of course im agravated because all of the close parking spots were taken....so I go all the way back to my car, grab the bags, bring them back so they can verify that there are no corn nuggets in my bag. Now I'm waiting for them to make some more. The girl comes back telling me not to roll my eyes at her and that she put them in my bag, but got me more...basically accusing me of stealing $2-$3 worth of corn nuggets....and of course I'm completely in shock that she had the nerve to say something like that to a customer. Like what? Are you serious? So of course I ask to speak with the manager because that's completely uncalled for. You don't treat people like that. The manager took down my name and told me she would take care of it and give me a credit towards my next order. Out of all of my to-go orders IvI' placed on my lunch breaks. This is probably the absolute worst service I've ever had.

P.s. I've placed 2 to-go orders at this location before without any problems. I usually place my to-go orders with the one close to the college which is always so friendly and nice, even if on the rare occasion something...

Due to crazy schedules my husband and I were doing a date at home with take out and Redbox. We placed our order. When my husband picked up our food, he checked the order. It was half wrong, food was cold and my husband was charged extra for lettuce and tomato for his hamburger. Supposivily corrected, the order was given back to my husband and he glanced at it and assumed it was right. 2 miles down the street he got home, unloaded the order and the fries were raw and yet they still left out our coleslaws. There was only 2 meals and nothing special! My husband was so upset that he went back up to Ken's and asked for the coleslaws and let the young lady know that everything about our order has been wrong and he had spent an hour correcting their mistakes and it was still incorrect. Unphased, the young lady said, "okay. Sorry". We believe in supporting local businesses as much as possible. The past three times we have ordered Ken's, it has been a disaster (both LC locations). Needless to say, our family and organization will not be placing anymore orders from them again anytime soon. Being charged for simple things like lettuce for your hamburger is annoying enough but add rude service and it kind of tips the scale.

KEN'S BBQ: I have eaten a lot of bar-b-que over the years and I guess I'm lucky because I don't think I've ever had any "bad" bar-b-que! But Ken's is #1 on my list. There are things that make certain BBQ restaurants stand out for me, for instance: Restaurants that have personable and efficient staff; Employees that actually remember you and bother to know your name; Recipes that make for that consistent taste and flavor that keep you coming back for more. But most of all, I love that you see the owner and their family on the floor, with rolled up sleeves serving, busing tables, cashiering and working along side their employees to accomplish the job at hand. It speaks volumes about the values and commitment of the owners. Also, ALL THE FOOD IS ALWAYS DELICIOUS! Dine in or take out! Maybe I'm biased because I have lived in Lake City my whole life and I can't even remember Lake City without Ken's BBQ.....In fact, I don't want a Lake City without Ken's BBQ!!
