I used to be a regular at Reyes Pizza but after this experience I won’t be coming back.
I placed a delivery order and was told it would take about 30 minutes. Instead, it took almost two hours. The driver got my address wrong three separate times and I had to go back and forth on the phone with him just to get the food delivered. When the food finally arrived, it was cold and soggy and clearly had been sitting too long. On top of that, our garlic knots never came.
I called the store to explain the situation, hoping they would make it right. The manager came on the phone and not once did he apologize. Instead, he just asked, "Do you want the garlic knots?" After waiting nearly two hours already I told him no. The food was already cold, why would I want to wait again? His response was, "So you want us to come pick up all your food? You don’t want it?" I explained that I waited too long to throw it out, but I did want a refund on my card for the missing garlic knots and some kind of solution for the cold food. He said the driver would bring my cash for the knots and I said no he’s obviously busy I want it on my card. Then the call ended there.
THEN, the delivery driver called me (clearly irritated) saying the manager told him to bring cash to my house for the garlic knots. After already messing up the delivery and being clearly busy and stressed, why was the driver expected to fix the restaurant’s mistake? I told him to keep it. No employee should be put in that position!
As someone who has worked in the restaurant industry my whole life, I understand that mistakes happen. But it’s how a business handles those mistakes that matters. Reyes failed completely. No accountability, no empathy, and not even a simple “sorry.” That...
Read moreOK....the definition of a hole in the wall. You will not be impressed with the place. My wife was ready to walk out, but I told her that this place came SOOOOO highly recommended. I work with a lot of local business and restaurant owners. One day I got into a conversation with a bagel shop owner about the best pizza in town. He said, "reyes." I said....what's that? He scoffed at me, as if I should know this place. Bottom line....you should know about it, and I'm ashamed to call myself a local without knowing this place. The prices are amazing, and quality is outstanding! I regular a lot of sub shops in the area, and found I was paying close to DOUBLE at other places what I get hot subs for at Reyes. This is the place, don't turn back, check out their prices, and like my...
