Taqueria Nayarit — Restaurant in Lake Elsinore

Their food is good and the portions are okay. They have handmade tortillas, but they do have one major flaw. They consitently overcharge on the bill. As far as ive noticed, it's one to two dollars on the whole bill, but it always happens. I do not want to give a bad rep, but i suggest you check the total. It's also always the same excuse "its the new prices for the new menu. We already ordered them and they're already in the computer" but I've seen them have at least two different menus with still the same "problem." Edit: Also happened to my dad 4 times, even since before they started the new menu excuse. He is more regular there and sated that the menus i saw today are already the new menus.

I personally will not return comfortably, i do not like having my wallet milked for secret price changes...

I've gone here for years for tacos and the occasional tamale, always great service, most often great meats (I'm not partial to the cartilage you can get from home style real Mexican taco places, but i understand it's not as crazy to them, no disrespect) . This time i ordered to go, I got a Carne asada, a carnitas and Pollo taco. They're usually pretty good but this time they outdid themselves in a real way with all 3 meats. After the discovery of those maggots I will NEVER eat here again. And that response from the owner to the other review was ridiculous not even an apology given to them. Thats the least they could do, we arent talking about a strand of hair we're talkin about live MAGGOTS!!, fly larva on fully cooked meat!! and the inspector already noticed it was ONLY the pork, so that makes it okay that only the pork had maggots in it? I don't even know how this place is even still open. Maybe you should hire better managment and employee's so your food won't be "left out for a while."
