Overpriced for very low quality food. I have come here maybe once or twice in the past five years of living in the area, and generally I don't come here because it seems ridiculous to pay $13 for bread, meat, and cheese on a sandwich that you can get for $4-5 dollars (and organic) at the grocery store down the block. But regardless, this time I haven't been in maybe nine months to a year and I received a coupon for two dollars off and I figured that makes a regular size sandwich $10. Even though that's the max I would pay for a fast food sub, I figured why not give it a try again? This was one of the worst sandwiches I've ever had. I ordered the Chipotle chicken sandwich. I received maybe half a handful of chicken, which is already one of the cheapest proteins you can buy, but even in addition to that they're skimping out on the meat so the sandwich was extremely thin. And then I specifically asked for very light on the mayo and they went to the opposite with extremely heavy on the mayo, so what I essentially received was a sandwich that had almost no chicken, a ton of mayo, and cheese. It was essentially a fat sandwich. It was disgusting and a reminder why I never come here and never will again. What a...
Read moreThis is the worst Jersey Mike's I've been to, and I've been to many. I always order their veggie sub with extra cheese, and I'm always charged extra money for extra cheese. No problem. The problem at this location is that extra cheese to them means a normal amount of cheese. I'm simply not OK with paying extra $ and not getting something extra. I showed the manager the sandwich and he at first defended his the employee who made it saying "there should be about 8 slices of cheese with extra cheese". I said, "OK, count how many slices of cheese are in it". he wouldn't because he knew there wasn't 8, but eventually agreed that it didn't look like there was enough. He did add some cheese, which I appreciated, but I don't feel like ordering a sandwich should require an inspection and remedy. For the record, even after they added my extra cheese, there was still only about half the amount of cheese that other Jersey Mike's locations give. I know it may seem silly to complain about the amount of cheese on a sandwich, but when it's a veggie sandwich and cheese is the only protein in it, it actually makes a big difference. In conclusion, I'd much rather avoid a battle and just go somewhere else that makes a...
Read moreThe hours of operation on the door state open till 9pm. We arrived at 8:27pm. We walked in and the staff was cleaning (I get it, about to close in 30 mins and want to go home). But here’s the thing… Staff seemed irritated that my family and I wanted to eat dinner. We asked if they were open and un-reluctantly they said yes. Then they told us that their grill was closed and we can’t have any hot food. Sorry, but if you’re hours of operation are until 9pm and a customer wants something off your grill then be prepared to fire that thing up and cook them their food. Two other families came in after us wanting cheesesteaks and were turned away.
We ended up getting cold sandwiches. But unfortunately we weren’t able to enjoy them like we usually do since the tomatoes and onions were gone from their prep trays and they did not want to grab fresh ones from the fridge. That would mean that they would have to cut them for us. Very disappointing that managers/owners don’t train their staff to be more accommodating to the customer. Hopefully management sees this and holds their staff at a higher standard. I mean come on, minimum wage here in California is almost $20 an hour!...
