Sadly my experience here was pretty bad. On 7.26.20 at 4pm my daughter, wife and I were treated pretty badly by a female manager or supervisor (wearing a red shirt). Prior we were having a great day and this incident kind of put a damper on it.
Because this is a public forum, I prefer to address my grievance in a letter to the appropriate McDonalds administration responsible for oversight of this store.
Suffice to say, I've spent much of my adult life either working in or training on the subject of customer service. So I know both the challenges and opportunities that good service requires.
And what I experienced at this McDonalds today was so far from that (customer service), that I resolved never to return to any McDonald's ever again.
I've come to realize the relatively low cost & speed with which food at McDonalds is served is not worth the indifference, lack of caring (they never ask if you want condiments or even napkins ... it's a cold assembly line mentality), and rigidness (lack of personal touch) of this entity. It's their business model!
More & more I am learning to value smaller businesses with a friendly and personal, quality touch...even if it costs a bit more. And this experience only confirmed that once & for all for me.
We live in a "cancel culture." So normally I'm not easily offended or quick to write a person or organization off. But in this case, I think its time. "Bye" McDonalds and your sorry-excuse-for-a-"leader"-red-shirted-lady-knowing-nothing-about-customer-service-or-the-human-touch, ... and "Bye" to all entities like you. You are now cancelled from my world.
And ...
"Hello" to smaller businesses who get & understand great customer service and the human touch. Life is...
Read moreThere is always a ridiculous line that is always extended next to the traffic light area and blocking the double yellow lanes. Takes forever to get your food if you want to avoid the double yellow to turn into that area. There is also a HUGE issue with people reading the "One Way Only" sign. So many people are constantly trying to go backwards through that drive-thru. You are supposed to stay on the left to go through the drive-thru and stay to the right if you want to skip the line and just drive to the online mobile pickup or exit the area... But no. It is just pure chaos. There needs to be arrows painted on the ground so that people can follow the lines like we did in elementary school. *Caution: don't order anything with egg, I've always found that I'm crunching on egg shells when I get breakfast. The coffee is always disappointing as well. The only good thing about this place are the employees. I think I only ever return because they always ensure I have everything in my bag, they are fast, and they always make me laugh when I go through the drive-thru.

Read moreABSOLUTE horrible service!!! I will NEVER give them my hard earned money to treat me like crap ever again!!! You order a large French fry and they give you are large Sprite and then argue with you that you ordered it!!! No b¡tch I didn't order a large Sprite, I did however order a large French fry!!! Then after paying and receiving my food I get the window SLAMMED in my face!!! Not shut but SLAMMED!!! So I yelled "Thank you for coming to McDonalds, have a nice night!!!" The fast food clerk looked at me and opened the window to see what I wanted, so I repeated it and again they just stared... Clearly customer service is not mandatory at this location!!! It must be run by the same guy that runs the Rockfield and Lake Forest and Research and Lake Forest locations!!! Same crappy service at all 3!!! Time to ditch...
