L.O. Cafe — Restaurant in Lake Ozark

So much potential, but ultimately wasted. The setting in a cove near the lakes edge is nice although a bit tricky to find. There is a fair sized outdoor seating area but be prepared for golf carts driving through to the yacht club preventing you from spreading out like you would like. My wife and I order a cocktail. Hers was weak but tasty and mine was absurdly strong and bad. Crab cakes tasted good and were full of crab meat but were ruined by the spiciest chipotle aioli you have tasted drizzled over them. Unfortunately, my main dish, the fish tacos, again and while seeming to have good potential were drowned in the same overly spicy chipotle aioli and brought out at the same time. My wife said her chicken salad was good. When we talked to the server we got the unsympathetic "you're the only one who has found the aioli too spicy" basically passing the blame. My wife, who eats much spicier good than I also could not eat the aioli. There was no mention of spicy on the menu. It is sad to see good food ruined by a sauce that could have been on the side or, frankly,...

Stopped by on a Sunday morning, where I was the only one there. My server was kind and attentive. The view was beautiful and it was nice to sit and look at the lake while I ate. I ordered the crabcake Benedict ($16.95.) The hollandaise was delicious by itself! The poached eggs were a little overcooked but that's a personal preference. The crabcakes had a good amount of crab but were a little too salty. Overall, I'd order it again!

The potatoes and onions were my absolute favorite! The potatoes were both crispy and soft and had no grease! Ugh. They were so Delicious, I'd go back just for a plate of them.

If you want to be ignored and talked down to like you are not important enough to wait on then this is the place for you. First and only time we will go here. Walk up and staff laughing and talking and walking around but no one helps you (must not be their job). Walk inside and no staff even acknowledges you until I saw loud enough to be heard "Do we just seat ourselves?" To which someone finally tells us that we need to sign in outside. Did I mention every table inside is empty but one...WTH!! So we walk out and I said let's go. Didn't get the priveledge of eating at this elite establishment and...
