Went to the Brick House at 10 on a cold rainy Friday night at the end of January to place a late to go dinner order. There were only a couple people in the downstairs bar but it sounded like the upstairs restaurant was busy and lively. The bartender was friendly and promptly gave me a menu and took my drink order for while I was waiting. She did not pressure me to decide quickly or to order more drinks. She also answered all the questions I had on dishes I found interesting on the menu. She took my food order. While waiting I was amused by the bartenders interaction with another patron at the bar. My order came out quickly (so quickly I didn't have time for a second drink). I had ordered a Western burger with sweet potato fries and had requested a side of ranch dressing since I was staying at an Airbnb and didn't have condiments. When I opened it to eat the ranch dressing had been forgotten. I had been initially very disappointed but the sweet potato fries were so good that I didn't even miss it!.

We were looking for some delicious food while visiting Lake of the Ozarks, and found Brick House, a Cajun restaurant, on Google. We went for lunch with the kids on a Wednesday during the off-season. The dining area was not too busy, and the server took care of us quickly. I didn't know what to order, so I decided to try the gumbo, the jambalaya, and the coconut shrimp. The coconut shrimp were fried perfectly and had good flavor. My Bloody Mary was also really good, with just the right amount of kick to it. I would 100% pass on the Jambalaya if I were to eat here again. It came out like a mushy ball of rice, and the flavor was just ok. Instead I would save room for the gumbo, because the gumbo definitely made up for where the jambalaya lacked. Bathroom had a black light instead of regular lighting. Price was in the medium range. We found parking right in front, but I think you'd be hard pressed to find easy parking during the regular season.

The food wasn't bad but could be improved. Went in expecting cajun....and they changed their menu. They are NO longer a Cajun place. I got the Western sliders, which did taste good, but they were nothing special. The fries were a joke. I would rather have had McDonald's fries. The Sweet n Spicy shrimp had a good flavor, but were drenched in sauce and it kinds took away from the shrimp. The Chicken A LA Mer had a great flavor but was so salty, couldn't even finish half of it. The Staff was great. Friendly and quick. But with all the places to eat at the Lake, with better quality, I probably won't be back in here.

Absolutely some or the best cajun food we have ever had. Speaking from someone that loves this cuisine and had time living in New Orleans where some of the best cajun food in the world is served. Kudos to the chef for his attention to details, flavors, presentation and adding his own twists on staples such as corn bread and those boudin balls!!! We visit the lake 1-2 times a year and will be sure to add this to our regular list!!! Annie thank you for the hospitality as well and awesome drinks!

Stopped in on a Monday night after boat shopping and had a great meal. Husband had a double burger with fries and I had the chicken sandwich grilled and tossed in the sweet and spicy sauce with a side house salad. The sandwich wasn't actually tossed in the sauce for some reason, which was fine because the onion ranch with my salad was excellent and I preferred it on the sandwich instead. Drinks were great too!
