While on our family vacation, we decided to go to the Malted Monkey and try it out, and we left very disappointed. From the start when we got there and the prices were not what they showed online, and the girls didn’t try to explain the different packages you could purchase. They failed to give any directions whatsoever. We then decided that we wanted to order some ice cream, so we had to go ask for menus and the waitress gave them to us and stood right there beside us waiting for us to order, and gave us no time to even look at the menus. About 30 minutes after we had ordered our milkshakes and still didn’t get them. In that time we waited we had seen 3 milkshakes that looked like ours sitting up on the bar melting as our waitress sat on her phone and failed to get them to us. So we had to go ask our waitress if they were ready because we have been waiting some time and she said she would check in a minute and continued to sit in her phone for an additional 5 minutes. She then went inside and grabbed the 3 milkshakes we had seen sitting on the counter for at least 10 minutes, if not longer and brought them out to us. We took the spoon out of our milkshakes and they were completely melted. When we asked for them to be remade she grabbed our milkshakes with attitude and went inside. After another 10 minutes we requested to speak to the manager who also failed to apologize about the wait and melted milkshakes and the disrespect from our waitress. We asked for a refund and they still never bothered to apologize about anything. This was overall a bad experience, not only was the wait ridiculously long, and our milkshakes were melted, but the staff was incredibly rude. There are many things about this establishment that needs to change. There needs to be a lot of...

Our experience at Malted Monkey during our family vacation was nothing short of disappointing. The poor service we received from both the kitchen staff and waitress left a bad taste in our mouths.

After waiting 30 minutes for our milkshakes, we discovered that they had been sitting on the counter, resulting in watery shakes. When we brought this to the attention of our waitress, she responded with attitude and took an additional 5 minutes to address the issue. The lack of urgency and professionalism was concerning.

When we requested the shakes be remade, the waitress rolled her eyes and took them back to the kitchen. We escalated the situation to the manager, who failed to offer an apology or a solution. In the end, we asked for a full refund for the shakes and requested a few cups of ice water for ourselves. The manager only brought out 2 waters without saying a word or making any effort to rectify the situation.

As someone who has worked as a waitress in my teenage years, I understand the importance of providing good customer service. The lazy and unprofessional behavior displayed by the staff at Malted Monkey is unacceptable and would not be tolerated in any other establishment.

Our experience at Malted Monkey was a complete letdown. The poor service we received from both the kitchen and waitress has left us with a negative impression of this establishment. It is clear that improvements need to be made in order to provide a better experience...

We visited The Malted Monkey for the first time after seeing a great post on their Facebook page about their hot dogs and shakes — unfortunately, that post was incredibly misleading.

First red flag: the tables are set up directly underneath the rope course, where kids are sneezing, coughing, and even spitting above you. It’s completely unsanitary and honestly kind of gross to eat under.

It took about 10 minutes just to get anyone's attention, and that only happened because I physically got up to flag someone down. We placed our order immediately because we already had a feeling this wasn’t going to go well. We asked for water — never received it. Ordered a hot dog without fries — still got fries.

The "birthday cake" milkshake was the final straw. It had hard, stale chunks of cake in it and tasted far from fresh — not even close to the delicious treat they advertised.

Our waitress never came back to check on us. We had to get another staff member just to pay our check. The bathrooms were absolutely filthy — swarming with flies and clearly neglected.

There was no manager around to speak to or express our concerns, which made the experience even more frustrating.

This place might be fun for kids if you're just doing the rope course, but if you’re coming for the food or service — save your time and money. Hugely...

Stopped in the Malted Monkey and grabbed a milkshake with a friend and his family who I'm visiting Lake of the Ozarks with.. I was reluctant about a $9 milkshake.. the most expensive milkshake I've ever had. Even more expensive than Hersheys Chocolate World. But it was also of the best milkshakes I've ever har.. Perhaps it's good I don't live in the area or I'd be fat and broke-- because I'd be there every day. I ordered the Vanilla Ice milkshake and it was fantastic! staff was decent but the milkshake was good enough to warrant five stars from me. It was also nice, clean, and modern-classic. I hope to return sometime!

The malted monkey is a fun place. The food is good. The milkshakes are very good. - we r u choose to get it spiked for adults. You do not taste it and not sure it is there. They do charge a 2.5% fee for using a credit card. The workers are nice. The obstacle course is fun and is unlimited time as long as u r up there. If a kid is under 48 inches and over 40 inches he or she can go with an adult. You will have to pay the full price for both people. If u go up in the obstacle course, there are 2 ways to be finished. 1. By the stairs. Easy way 2. A big drop. Guessing a 30-40 ft jump that u r hooked up too.

New year round resident - first and last time trying this place tonight! Half of my order was missing (drink and additions to the sandwich) and what did arrive was burnt save for the 3 cheese curds being cold on a curd burger. Tots were over-fried; you poke the burger and the whole thing moves as a hockey puck; I flipped it over and half the bun is missing. My dog isn't even trying to take it from me as dogs do. I could understand if it was a send off for ordering close to closing time, but they were still open for 2 more hours after I ordered. They should be ashamed of this lack of quality.
