Glenda Jean's Country Kitchen — Restaurant in Lake Placid

Wonderful little hometown diner! Apparently, it's popular with the locals and visitors to the area as well. We were lucky to have used Google to learn about it. Our waitress was great. When there was a slight delay in our food prep, she apologized and kept checking on us. (They had a rush, and customers were VERY willing to stand and wait for a table to become available). Food was delicious, fresh, hot, and homemade. Next time we go, I want to try one of their cinnamon rolls...they look amazing! Due to the minor delay in getting our meal, our server discounted our bill...which earned her a larger tip....

BEWARE I only gave it 1 star so I could do a review My lunch (meat & 2 sides) cost me ( with a $2.00 tip) cost me $19.50 I ordered on the phone off of the online menu which showed it @ $12.00 It was not that good - green beans came out of can you could get at Walmart Plain pork chops Took 20 minutes to get In questioning them about the price an older lady agreed with me & the online menu but a teenager girl said they had raised prices $19.50 for a lunch meal that was not that good ?? REALLY I suggest you go to a real restaurant & get a GREAt meal for that price Almost forgot - they forgot my...

My husband and I were there for lunch yesterday 10/11. After I had ordered my food I all of a sudden became ill and needed to leave. Not sure who came to assist us, but she may have been the owner. She was so very thoughtful and kind to me, she got us a to go Bo’s and offered us drinks to go, she even got our ticket and the money for our food so we didn’t have to wait in line to pay. This was our 1st time going to Glenda Jean’s and we will returning very soon and will continue to have lunch there often. Thank you so much for you’re outstanding...
