I’ve heard many people rave about this place, but being a member of the community I’ve given it a try once and once again. I have to say, that after a handful of times, I have confirmed my decision of not going here again. Every handful of times that I have gone to the shop, they never fail to get my order wrong! Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind paying over priced coffee, but at least get it right! I went in Saturday thinking it was going to be a fast thing, they had a beautiful flower set up of another vendor, and maybe about 6 -10 patrons, whom were already sitting and maybe about 3 waiting for an order(together). Well, from the time I ordered with the lifeless, un-personable cashier to the time I received my wrong sized mocha hot coffee was 24 minutes!!! Yes, 24 minutes! Wow! My poor 6yr old son even said it was a mistake going there and why was it taking so long for coffee!! When I received the cup, I said is this the 20oz? The girl looked at me and said yes. So I grabbed it and measured it against the cups they had on display because it just seemed to small, and of course, it was wrong! I also ordered a chocolate croissant that they had in a glass container. Which, their wrapping these delicate pastries is totally off!!! By the time we opened it, all the chocolate was on the wrapper and there was a nasty mess left and not appealing at all. I wasn’t happy with the taste of the coffee nor the visual image and also kinda stale croissant, $10.80 to the garbage and not to mention the $2 tip I left at the time I payed. For a whopping total of $12.80. Bad service, horrible personnel with no customer service personality, & un-tasteful products. For that price, I will stick to Starbucks. Thanks!
P.S to the reply below, you are even getting my name wrong! It’s 2 letters (initials) MC,...
Read moreA Cup of Joe is the kind of cafe that quietly steals your heart. Tucked into a calm corner of the morning hustle, it offers a warm, welcoming space where time seems to slow just enough to let you breathe. It was the perfect way to start the day, simple, intentional, and absolutely satisfying.
I ordered a caffè latte and a chocolate croissant, and the combination turned out to be pure morning magic. The latte was exactly what I needed, bold and strong, with a deep, roasted flavor that cut through any lingering sleepiness. It had that perfect balance of smooth milk and espresso strength, warming my hands through the cup as much as it jolted my senses awake.
And then came the croissant, soft, buttery, and filled with a ribbon of rich, dark chocolate. Biting into it felt like sinking into a chocolaty cloud, flaky on the outside, pillowy and indulgent inside. But the real magic happened when I dipped it into the latte, as I do with all my pastries. The heat of the coffee gently melted the chocolate, and the pastry soaked up just enough to become this beautifully tender, coffee-kissed bite of heaven.
The textures, the warmth, the contrast of bitter and sweet, it all worked together in perfect harmony. It wasn’t just a breakfast; it was a moment of comfort, of quiet pleasure, of starting the day exactly the way I wanted. A Cup of Joe knows how to elevate the little things and in doing so, they’ve created a spot that feels like a hug...
Read moreTL;DR - no restroom, seltzer is not worth, would not recommend as a cafe to work from. I visited the cafe on a Sunday hoping to work for 3 hours, but after 1 hour I decided to cut my loss and leave. There are 3 outlets from what I saw, only one that is near a table, but still far enough away that the charger may cause a tripping hazard. The other two are at benches that face the wall with stool seating. I ordered a hibiscus lemonade because I wanted a caffeine-free option. They were out of the lemonade and I was offered a flavored seltzer - which turned out to be a flavored syrup with seltzer water on cubed ice (bright blue and tasted like a raspado). Unfortunately, it was not what I had in mind for a refreshing drink. The most unfortunate part is there is no access to a restroom - just a sign that says don't leave a negative review because it's not their fault and to blame the city. TBH if there was a warning on their website I would not have had an issue with it (maybe something for the owner to consider?) Finally, the dining room was smoky from the cooking in the kitchen, not a pleasant environment to spend an extended period of time in. Pros: the aesthetic is great, sunlight fills the whole place, and the playlist is lit. I caution patrons seeking a cafe to work from. I will consider returning to try out the food and a caffeine option and may update my review...
