Called and ordered a thin crust pizza. Note, that I'm back in the area after a decade so I'm assuming that after looking up their recent customer pictures, reviews and their own website would display correctly. Picked up a pizza that felt light but didn't notice til I got home that it was cracker thin crust. I have absolutely no problem with cracker crust but I would've wanted to know what I was ordering from their own website which shows thin or thick crust. When I called to complain the employee said that's why I asked you thin or regular. Keyword regular. I stated he did not ask that and voiced that south side thin typically means thin crust unless otherwise noted or if you're vito and nicks across the street, which I would have gone to if I wanted cracker crust. The employee stated that they had to change their thin crust due to vito and nicks as their competition. I understand changing with the times but you have to portray yourselves accurately . I know I'll get a generic response back from this restaurant saying were very sorry, it's not usually like this , blah blah blah.... I'm more writing this to forward others to carefully choose . The price for the cracker crust was not worth it. The pizza wasn't diagusting. In fact I used to love Angies and ordered often when I originally lived here...
Read moreI remember Angie's on 79th & Harlem back when the kids were small. I was so excited to see if it was the same! Well the first pizza was just cheese, that wonderful, delicious cheese I remember so well! Then there was the Angie's special..... Sausage, shrooms, green peppers and loaded with so many onions. It would have been good if there was any cheese on the too help keep the toppings one the pizza! It was impossible to eat. The next day I was able to warm it in the toaster oven and add my own cheese, not as good as their cheese, but at least it was edible. I really wanted to leave a great review, but for $50 for two 14 inch pizzas, I really should not have had to add my own cheese. Sadly, don't think I'll...
Read moreThis pizza is really good. It's very thin, well done and savory sauce! Simple Chicago tavern style pizza. We got a cheese, sausage and pepperoni. All super yummy. It took about 50 minutes to get them, and we really didn't get appetizers, because we didn't want to get full. Ordered cheese sticks for the kiddos, they usually like fried Calamari, but didn't have that. We will definitely be back because it was so good. Only thing that left a bad taste in my mouth was the business charging the customer the credit card fee. I feel that's part of having a business and they should be responsible for that fee. I was excited that it wasn't cash only, but the fee...
