Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Lake Township

I'll never go here again. I grew up in this neighborhood and used to frequent very often. I come to Chicago once a week for church from Hammond Indiana. Today I stopped in CRAVING Church's... The parking lot is as raggedy as can be with huuuuge potholes. Then on top of that the employees are so rude and disrespectful and talk to the customers any kind of way. It took at least 10 minutes before they even acknowledged me and i listened to them talk and have side convos on top of being extremely rude to a DoorDasher.... The older fella on register made me feel as though he didnt wanna be bothered...They told me they didn't have any spicy chicken or dark meat hot sauce and no tenders. Then it would be a 20 minute wait on my 17 piece family meal but there was plenty of chicken up that i could see in plain site (including dark meat).. At that point i just left.! The service here is horrible and they definitely need new management and money to be put back into the business for...

This restaurant has been a staple of the Chatham community for well over 30 years. Why this place gets one star because the staff seems to be stuck in happy hour mode. I went in to order some food and a worker took a personal phone call while on the floor of the food prep and cooking area and proceeded to continue talking for over 10 minutes while customers waited for their orders to be taken. This seems to be a thing with African American service workers to be doing personal stuff and talking a lot while on company time. This is why so many can't keep a job and this is not a means of being racist but it's from experience and observation. As a paying customer I expect to be treated with respect. People need to tell their friends and family not to call them while on the job unless it's a legit reason or emergency not start gossipping about who got with who when you're on the job.
