Cocina Económica — Restaurant in Lake Township

I’ve ordered from this restaurant three times now, and unfortunately, all three experiences have been disappointing. The food itself is great, but the service has been consistently poor, especially when ordering through Uber Eats.

The first time, I made it clear in the note that I didn’t want any sour cream, as I can’t stand it and won’t eat anything with it. However, my food arrived with sour cream, which I couldn’t eat. When I tried to reach out to Uber Eats for a refund, I was told they wouldn’t refund me because the note wasn’t followed.

The second time, I placed an order at 8:30 PM, but after waiting 40 minutes, I found out my food wasn’t going to be made. The delivery driver called me when she arrived at the restaurant and said they told her they were closing at 9:00 PM and would not prepare my food. However, when I checked the hours online (even Google said they closed at 10:00 PM), I was confused as to why I was told they couldn’t make my order so early, and I wasn’t informed until the driver arrived.

I’m considering trying to order in person since the food is good, but I’m hesitant after these repeated issues. I hope they can improve their service...

I ordered 5 tacos de carne asada. And very very disappointed. Meat had no color. It was PALE WHITE. Nothing I ever seen before. Made me question what kind of meat that was. Upon tryin them out, another disappointment. It tasted honestly like Ground beef meat. They are also way overpriced. I got 2 cans of soda for almost $6 w/taxes. Crazy af!. Yea i guess u get what you paid for,, tacos were 2.99. But yea ,tacos are noooo good at all ! Unless u like colorless and flavorless 🌮 then thats on you. But I will definitely not be going back. I wish I took pictures of our meals :( I’ve ordered from them a total of four times. The first torta de asada I ever had, was BOMB. Made me go back a second time for Easter. They were busy so the torta tasted… well rushed. But I don’t blame them. The last two times I’ve ordered the fajitas de res.. so GOOD. It’s not the thick cut of meat. It’s like they use a thin cut of pulpa negra.. no se but the point is the veggies, the meat, the seasoning, amazing! I love it. I got chicken tenders for my son & the fries.. also so good. The lady that took my order was so nice over...
