Cork & Kerry — Restaurant in Lake Township

I decided to pursue business with cork & Kerry for a rental of a party room! They referred me over to their event planner who handles all bookings. I contacted a lady by the name of Nikki whom which was incredibly terrible at communicating. after I got in contact with her I told I was looking to book on the date of July 6 which was booked so she offered me the date of July 5th in which I confirmed both verbally and written (through text)! I then proceeded to update her on my work obligations and that I'll come in on a certain day to pay. I paid for the booking of the service and was sent on my way and confirm with all my guest which included several traveling out of state to come. I received a unprofessional email while I was out of town from Nikki stating that the date I already paid for was unavailable. There was absolutely no updates or indications prior to me making payments giving to me that the room was booked. After I emailed Nikki back and asked her to no longer contact me, she then called me and to told me that it is in fact my obligation to know that her unorganized schedule is my priority and that I should automatically know she's busy. She's a part time worker and don't have the time to communicate or schedule properly for such events, she don't deserve that position. When I contacted the bar to speak with the manager for my refund, the manager refuse to speak with me and had a bar tender tell me after my third time calling that he refunded my money and didn't even notify me as he need to do so. South side favorite location... Young crowd, but its a neighborhood spot which has plenty of different age groups at the Bar. Large outdoor beer garden, with plenty of space to sit outside with friends, smoking is allowed. Had a "7and Seven" for a cocktail, but the staff is young and not really trained in the art of professional Bar Service. Bartenders need professional training in the art of the cocktails. The staff seemed friendly and kept busy with service. Overall it was a good time and location. I was here for a party with some co-workers. Cork & Kerry is a Southside iconic pub. It has a great atmosphere, beer & drink selection. The service is great. It's the type of place you will run into someone you know. They don't serve food there, but they will let you bring it in. There is a great party room for any occasion. There is plenty of room for at least 75 people comfortably. You can bring in your own decorations, food, and desserts. They will let you run an open bar tab or customize the occasion to your price range. Parking can be tricky depending on what day of the week you visit. There is only free street parking. You may have to drive to a side street unless it's not busy.
