I came to buy a Cafe de la Olla and decided to get some tamales so I wouldn't have to go from one spot to another spot for my tamales. I'll start with the café it was like Cinnamon tea and milk, no coffee. I had to make a coffee at home to add to the Cinnamon water they gave me. About the tamales I always get my tamales from tamales lupita on 63rd because I am particular about my tamales, especially how much I spend on them, given the quailty of the tamale (filling). I don’t mind paying top dollar for good food with good size portions because I am not a cheap person. However, I thought I would give Juanitas a shot. Unfortunately, they were not up to standards when it comes to tamales. They were mostly masa and they messed up our order. We asked for rajas (peppers) and for green chicken. Instead they gave us red tamales of pork . The red tamales looked like tom-tom tamales with the minced meat that was inside of them. The rajas con queso had 2 strips of rajas no queso or salsa in the tamale. I will not go back to this place. They are over priced and the tamales and café were very disappointing. Do better guys. We know the economy is challenging us right now, but if you want to stay in business. Take care of your customers the right way, with decent prices and decent portions and you will have a thriving establishment with customers who would wait in line to eat at your restaurant.

Tried their booth at Tacos y Tamales Fest and it was horrible. To asked the lady for chicken taquitos and she gave me chicken tacos. I asked for no toppings so that I could taste the meat. Oftentimes restaurants hide bad food behind toppings and this place was no different. The tacos were $5 each and they were terrible. The chicken tacos were dry and flavorless. The corn tortillas were not heated fresh, they were on a warming plate so they turned rubbery and were hard to chew. Honestly this place gets a 0/10.

I ordered burrito suizo and got a regular burrito (suizo is more money) and paid for an 8 dollar horchata drink that was spoiled , tasted like vomit and had a bunch of little chunks of milk and a fly! The food was good just be careful with the drinks and salsa . The food is overpriced to be getting spoiled food .

When I call the girl seem busy and kept asking if I can give her time to make the order I was confused. I went to pick up at 30 mins and they had family members sitting inside having a discussion and starting at me when I got my order definitely not friendly. The food looks promising but the taste and price is not any good they also do a 3% charge on debit or credit cards cause they don't wanna pay for it so the customer gets the hit.

Overall if you want to wait on the phone and be given different prices and have an unorganized trip...
