Some places you can tell from the pictures they have great food so when I saw that Philly Steak I just had to have it. One of the few places that doesn't price gouge on delivery apps. The prices on the apps are similar if not the same to the price in-store (which will most likely change in the future like they always do.) I also tried out the gyro nachos and a gyro cheeseburger.
The Philly steak is a tight roll of meat, cheddar cheese, onions, tomatoes and lettuce with a mayo base. They put the cheese on top then wrap it in wax paper which leads to the cheese sticking to the paper. Hopefully they fix that. Overall it's a good sandwich that unfortunately feels a bit dry. The dryness extends into the gyro cheeseburger where the meat is not only overcooked, but overseasoned. For some reason the chef here is clearly using Tajin on their dishes which throws off the taste, especially when you're not expecting that powerful lime and salt combo on a burger. The same is with the massive gyro fries. While there is not that much meat, you can see the sprinkles of Tajin which once again is unexpected. It ruins things as you're expect a more hearty, beef flavor, but are instead bombarded with the vibrant lime and salt that Tajin is known for. The cherry on top being that the fries are dry and unseasoned. They did include a small tub of mild sauce on the side though.
Overall this place has promise, but some changes do need to be made. The Tajin seasoning should be optional...not default, especially since people can be allergic to the ingredients. It's ironic that they throw salt and pepper packets into the bag (which I assume is for the fries,) but took the liberty of adding non-standard seasoning to the rest of the food. The food is also sloppily put together (when I first looked at the gyro cheeseburger I thought it was only half a burger due to it being thrown together then smashed into the container.)
Update: Checked the apps and they've already limited the time they are open to 7am-9am after I placed my order which is of course when almost nobody is going to be placing orders. Incoming price changes for online orders. Either that are they are just trying to use the apps as advertising and not actually intending to take orders through them. Just a funny...
Read moreWent here with my husband, and food was sooo fye. We both ordered a gyro pizza puff w/ fries and a crispy chicken salad w/ rice. We watched and waited for them to prepare our meal and when I ate it, it tasted freshly done... not old. The wait was about 10-15 minutes and it was paid for on EBT. I like that they got a glass so that no flies can get in the back while they prepare it, however they do need to mop the actual store floor. Other than that it...
Read moreI asked what came on the salad. The gentleman told me lettuce, spinach, rice, tomatoes (which I told him to hold), broccoli, onions, peppers, and carrots. He literally read it off a list.
My salad is missing peppers, onions, and spinach. I think the rice is old. I tried calling so they could remake it before I got there since I waited 20 mins for this one. I...
