The Neighborhood Gem — Restaurant in Lake Township

I have been to this restaurant at least 5 times and hope to see them continue to improve and thrive, so that when things are back to normal, I can visit more often. My only issue as has been stated by others is that they run out of desserts too quickly and it is my hope that since they know these items are very popular, they adjust the amount they prepare or maybe limit the amount sold to one person so that more people have a chance to buy. I also think that as creative as they are with their cuisine, there is room to expand their dessert offerings- cakes, pies, cobblers, tiramisu, cheesecake, sweet potato pie, cinnamon rolls. My other comment is in response to the recent episode of ChgoFoodToGo, where it showed the restaurant had delivery. Imagine my excitement when I saw that only to find there is no delivery according to the Google listing, where there is an "x" for delivery. I don't consider GrubHub or those other delivery services desirable, safe or reliable for accountability and will never use them, but if you ever hire in house delivery persons where their services will be held directly accountable by your restaurant, I am totally in and will be doing business with you more often. Hi My Name is Lisa: My Husband and i visited Chicago Food on The Run. We were greeted by a Gentleman name Keuntee . The customer service I Received coming in the door was phenomenal. I explained to Keuntee this was my Husband and I Frist time hear. I was very impress with his extraordinary customer service he sold me . the conversation that we had on the food he took his time he did not rush me it was very well please. My Husband got the Creole style Bake chicken with mac and Broccoli and I order smothered chicken with gravy with candy yams and greens on the side this Food was Awesome just awesome whoever the cook is I take my Hat off to the cook this is really soul food.... this is better than Morris soul food.
