I so wanted this to be a five star review, because the concept and the vibe in there with the blues music is so good, and the menu is great, but the execution was horrible.
There were three of us in our party, me, my mom, and my sister. I ordered the gumbo and the Muddy Waters burger, my sister ordered the vegan shrimp po boy (awesome that it's offered as she has a ton of alergies), my mom ordered 4 chicken strips. We also got fried jalapenos and fried avocado ( another awesome addition to the menu). They wanted beer, I got a soft drink. It took them 10 minutes to get their beers, which I should of known was a red flag.
It took forever to get the food, but I don't mind that. If you can deliver quality stuff, sometimes you just have to wait for it. Unfortunately, while it took over 20 minutes, that didn't happen.
My gumbo was cold. Like room temperature cold, could get someone sick cold. Also half of it was in the bag instead of in the cup, but that's nobody's fault really (I'll get into it later) So, as it was the first thing I tried, I took it up to get a new one. 8 more minutes went by to get a new soup. Ok fine, at least this one is hot, and it's pretty good.
My mom's chicken strips were a soggy mess, as I'm guessing they were the first things made and then sealed in a box so they steamed themselves. That's poor planning by a kitchen. Those have to be made last, or not sealed in a box.
The Muddy Waters burger, while passable, seemed like it was missing something from what I read. Sure enough, after looking at the menu, I didn't have the jalapenos that were supposed to be on there. After waiting so long for soup, I just gave up, finished up and left.
Some of the issues could be avoided if there was a differentiation between to go orders and people eating in the restaurant. My soup doesn't get spilled in a bag, and my mom's chicken doesn't get steamed. The other issues are kitchen management problems. Nothing should go out as cold as that soup or as wrong as that burger. The kitchen is open, and due to that, you can feel the tension between all the cooks back there and the tension between the cooks and the cashiers. Like I said, this is a great concept, and I appreciate all the vegan choices for my sister, but while I will give this place another shot, if it doesn't improve I will have to spend money elsewhere and my sister can make...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI ordered two gyro meals. Asked for both gyros to have the meat cooked well with sauce on the side. Request was not done. Instructed to bring back. When I came back in the man at the counter was rude. Opened food and picked all through the meat. Requested that his cook cook the sane gyro meats that we returned by attempting to put the meat back on the grill. Requested my money back. Charged me 8 dollars for two drinks that came with the meal. When attempted to give drinks back they refused. Poor service and unsanitary food handling. Never will return.
Response: You explain you had no problem refunding the gyro dinners which includes the drink, but when my sister went to question you about the refund she was simply ignored for 5 minutes while your employee stood at the counter looking at her. If you wanted to refund the two gyro dinners the receipt stated something different. You stated because the drinks were not full that we couldnt get a full refund after offering you the drink. How was we supposed know you would mess up the order. Is it a crime to be thirsty. However, we drove all the way home and stood there waiting for an order that was not complete to our standards. Due to covid I believe my sister was floored about how someone who handles cash at the counter would pick through her sandwich and then hand it to the grill to fry the meat well done. The man at the counter was not listening because we distinctly stated we wanted the sauce on the side, however he was ready to grill the meat with sauce that had been taking out of the restaurant and to my house.
As management what did you do to de escalate the situation? Was it really worth keeping the 8 dollars? What was so hard with throwing the food away and making the...

The menu is EXPANSIVE, that will have Something for EVERYBODY, young and old. I'm a Senior on a fixed income, so l had to "Carefully Choose" my order.
The Team Members are Friendly, Welcoming, and EAGER to make Us feel Comfortable and AT HOME! I ordered the Gyros Sandwich, no sides, no drink. They kindly provide a small cup for water, which is available at a different location for customers to use.
My Gyros Sandwich wasn't as "plentiful" as l imagined it would be. Also, part of the meat was a bit overcooked, which made it dry. I didn't want to fuss...But l Knew l had to leave there, Satisfied. This remaining Sandwich was going to be My Dinner! So, l Bravely showed one of the Team Members my Sandwich, and shared my concerns. I asked Only that they replace the half that was not edible. This Young Lady SHINED! SHE looked at the Sandwich, and had it REPLACED ! I only asked for HALF, THOUGH SHE OFFERED a COMPLETE REPLACEMENT!
