I just moved here and the pizza is ok. The special wasn't bad and well-made, but I ordered a single topping and it was the thinnest, most salty pizza I've ever had. So they have some consistency problems. But the reason I won't be back is whoever answers the phone is a real jack. He'll talk over you. I called back to ask about a price discrepancy from the website, just to ask about a delivery charge, and you can't finish your sentence. Cut you off. Irritate the hell out of you. The other time I ordered I said a $3 tip and they put down $5. I went ahead and gave it to him but it felt abusive by the woman that took that order.
Abrasive ordering. Abrasive followup. I'm a pizza addict that orders multiple times a week, and I don't plan on giving these people more money. There's plenty of pizza in Chicago. If you don't like your business or your job, quit! I'm tired of running into, and giving business to people like this. Miserable sods.
Even if you're a big fan of this place I'd forget your pizza preferences, go to some place like Vince's on 63rd where they act like they want your business! Those people including the owner are...
Read moreThis place is garbage. I placed my first and last order there tonight. 1st off... this place is way over rated and those of you who are praising this place dont know anything about a good pizza in Chicago. The pizza had very greasy cheap mozzarella and spoiled sausage which left an aweful aftertaste in your mouth. We also ordered their hot wings which tasted like ALDI's frozen hot wings. They charged me about $5 more (before taxes) than their menu prices for some reason and they did not give me a menu with the delivery. I wonder why? I will just stick to driving back to my old neighborhood (Bridgeport) to pick up pizza. I recommend Phil's on 35th, Freddie's on 31st, or Lina's on Morgan. There's also Connies and Ricobennes which are now franchises and can be bought outside of Bridgeport. If you want good pizza on the southwest side try Durbin's on 79th and State Rd, Papa T's on 79th and Harlem, or Palermo's on 63rd. Even Waldo Cooney's has much better pizza...
Read moreI am still giving it 4 stars because I want to the new owner to correct the issue. The topping, cheese , sauce all tasted delicious and that pizza looked the same. I do miss being able to watch them make the pizza while I wait.
Bad: I always arrive early because I want the pizza fresh out of the oven but something has changed with crust and it doesn’t have same amount if any cornmeal on the crust, so it’s missing that flavor and no longer crispy. I do not know if this is because of the cornmeal or just needing to be left in oven additional 3-5 mins. I always eat a couple slices outside because i love the crispy crust even getting home the crust was always still firm and crispy after 15 min drive
I did go back in and told the staff and informs them several other people have left reviews about the crust and I am noticing the same thing. I hope more people speak up and just don’t stop going to Obbie’s so they know what needs to...
