Pizza Nova Express — Restaurant in Lake Township

The service has gotten worse. The last time that ordered from them was in March. I had to argue with both the cashier and the manager about my credit card receipt. They refused to issue my receipt. I refused to support them after that. However, while visiting my mom for the weekend, she told me that she wanted pizza for dinner. Mind you, she has been tube fed for the last 6 months, following a serious head injury and we have been slowly mouth feeding her, against her Dr's orders. We are bringing her back!! Well, she wanted "Pizza Nova from on 79th St", her exact words. Anything for my mom👵. I placed my order over the phone, small deep dish, one thin slice,(for my mom), and a small frie. I was told it would be ready for pickup in 30mins. I walked into the location 35mins exactly. After paying with my credit card and going thru the usual exchange of words concerning my receipt, I was told very rudely that my pizza would not be ready for another 30mins. I explained that I was told that it would be 30mins, now an additional 30mins. The cashier snap back at me, " Well, it's going to be 30mins", and walk away. My pizza was finally ready, and I headed back to my mom's. My order was not correct. Now the manager is rude over the phone explaining that he didn't care what I ordered, he gave me what he had and that if I wasn't happy with the food, to bring it back "NOW", for a refund. I explained that I only wanted to inform him that I wanted a thin slice for my mom and I was willing to keep the whole pizza, even though the crust was burnt. He replied, "Do what you want, Stop wasting my time. I'm busy ". I definitely will NEVER patronize this place again. Unless anyone likes to pay to be disrespected, I would not recommend...

This is my first time ordering from this place. I found out about this place via a menu placed in front of door. As with any new restaurant, I'm a bit skeptical. And it didn't ease my skepticism with all the bad reviews this restuaranthas has received. Anyway, I saw that their items were reasonably priced. So I bit the bullet and decided to give them a try. Despite many of the bad ratings, I have to say I'm impressed with they're delivery time. I placed my order, and within 45 minutes it arrived. The food was nice and hot. I ordered a shrimp dinner, and it was pretty good. The fries and shrimp were thoroughly cooked. They supplied me with all the necessary condiments. I was satisfied! Only reason they didn't give them a 5 star rating is because the lady who took my order over the phone, didn't seem to possess the best of customer service skills. She didn't seem too pleasant over the phone, lacking customer service skills. Also, she wasn't cognizant about the method of payment I was to make in paying for my order. She yelled to one of her co-workers in my ear as to how I can pay for my food because she wasn't sure. The phone étiquette could have been better! Outside of that, I would order...

I recently had a rather frustrating experience with Pizza Nova Express that left a lot to be desired in terms of customer service. When placing my order, I was not given the price for my food before it was confirmed as ready to go. The employee was quick to hang up the call before I could get another word in about the total cost. This led to an unpleasant surprise when I was finally informed of the total when the driver arrived.

Feeling this was an oversight, I decided to call and speak with the manager about my concern. Unfortunately, my experience only worsened from there. The manager was unprofessional and dismissive over the phone. While I understand the need to defend his employees, he showed no willingness to understand my perspective as a customer.

A simple acknowledgment of the oversight and a bit of empathy would have gone a long way in this situation. Instead, the manager’s attitude made me feel undervalued as a customer. I hope Pizza Nova Express takes this feedback seriously and works on improving their customer service approach in the future.
