Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Lake Township

I had a taste for spicy Popeye's chicken so we went to this location on 11/1/23 after 8 pm. We ordered an 8 pc family meal which was either 21.99 or 22.99 on the menu, but we were charged 24.99. It came with 8 pieces of chicken, one large side and 4 biscuits.

We requested beans and rice and had mashed potatoes and gravy when we got home. My husband called and spoke to a manager and was told to come back to get the beans and rice. He came home with those items and more chicken, which was cool but he shouldn't have had to do that.

Only drive- thru service was available, which moved pretty quickly. The guy gave us our food and disappeared. We had to blow the horn to get his attention because we wanted honey for the biscuits. We wanted something else after that but left because the person didn't come right back to the window and we didn't know how long the wait would have

The food was disappointing. Some of the pieces were spicy, some weren't. There was 1 thigh, 2 breasts, 2 legs, 3 wings. I thought we were supposed to get 2 pieces of each part like we do at other restaurants when we order 8 pieces. While the spice was ok, the flavor was missing.

I commend the manager for responding to and correcting the mistake with the side. Overall, it was a disappointing experience and we will not be returning to...

From the age 18 to 20, I was working Cashier, drive thru, cook and eventually promoted to Crew Traniner at a popeyes, it was always clean, if food reached a certain time and it hadn't been sold, it was to be discarded. Customer service was expected to be 100%.

I went to this particular popeyes and they had just opened, the customer service was horrible, and the food was not great, I ordered a 5 piece chicken strip combo with fries, coleslaw, red beans and rice and mash potatoes. The chicken strips were not fresh, the coleslaw looked old as if they saved it for the next day or let it sit out, it had a brown color to it (I didn't eat the coleslaw) the red beans and rice was watery, there was no flavor at all, zero taste. The mash potatoes were okay and the fries were okay. The fries may have been the only thing that was fresh.

After I ate some of the food, about 10mins later I started sweating and feeling nauseous. I ran to the bathroom with stomach pains and vomited. I couldn't stop vomiting and then I went to the urgent care to find out I had food poisoning. This was my very first meal of the day and I got sick following right after ingesting the food.

I will NEVER return back to this...

This is right now while I’m sitting in the restaurant. BTW. So before I got in here I was sitting at the window for about 20 minutes. Not one person said give us one minute or anything. 3 cars was behind me. After I hunked my horn 3 times we all reversed out. 2 of us parked and came in to wait 30 more minutes to even get our order taking. Only 2 people working in the front and only one cook. The lady who took my order name was Chantya was VERY RUDE and the man ( he was light skin and i think gay) slow and rude. Then there was no chicken and the lady said they are out of chicken and another Popeyes are sending them some from 100 and something and Halsted. I I got 3 boxes tenders because nothing at well available. Out of all the sauces except tarter and blackened ranch. For all the time I was spent in line in driveway and inside all she offered was either a drink or a pie. At least I should’ve got a coupon or 3 things free since I ordered 3 meals. Seating was dirty. All bad. Will never come back and i live in the Area. Bad service and dirty and rude...
