Red Snapper Kedzie — Restaurant in Lake Township

This was our first time trying this neighborhood spot, so we got some of everything on the menu. We spent $95, and I regretted it all. I will never go back. Customer service was great, but the food was not. We ordered perch, Jack salmon, shrimp, gizzards and wings. What I could physically eat was lacking flavor. It was fried so long that it resembled hard fish jerky. The only item that was somewhat pleasant were the boneless wings because they were huge pieces of chicken. The only issue with them was that they were swimming in BBQ sauce. This was around lunchtime on a weekday, and the restaurant wasn't crowded, so not sure why I received subpar food. I always like to patronize local businesses, but I don't like to waste my money, and $95 wasted left a bad taste...

I had a party and ordered a 50 pc chicken wing dinner. Before I left the restaurant, I asked “is there mild sauce in the bag?” They said “YES”. (But never said how much was in the bag) The chicken was good but DRY because they only gave us one tub of mild sauce for 50 pieces of wings. Had us scraping mild sauce to eat our chicken. I called in to complain and they said they only give one tub of mild sauce for the 75pc wing as well. Said an extra mild sauce is 2$. This is outrageous. This is the worst policy any restaurant could have in the city of Chicago. ONE mild sauce tub for 50-75 wings is insane!!! They need to reevaluate this...

I arrived at the restaurant around 5:22 pm i and one other patron were the only ones there. I placed my order with a slightly bored and surley cashier took a seat to wait 6 or 7 other patrons arrived ordered recieved and left (I'm learning patients) so I waited until the final after me patron received her order and exited. I then went up to inquire as to my own order. Was met with let me see your receipt followed by I don't know what they doin back there (statement from our not so friendly cashier) 15 mins later got my food no apologies or any other acknowledgement of poor service.
