Starlight Restaurant — Restaurant in Lake Township

Let me start by saying I go to this restaurant twice a month for breakfast...the food is decent although you usually have to send it back to be warmed by the time it arrives at your table. My Son ordered Chicken and Waffles so we knew we would have to wait for the chicken to be fried and we did 45 minutes.When the food was brought over My order was incorrect...I asked that it be fixed (add extra cheese) it was returned 10 minutes later with my pancakes that I saw sitting atop the counter before the waitress returned with my extra cheese on my skillet that was completely black! I understand it may have been in the oven too long and the cheese burned but why bring it to me in that state? I asked the owner to come over and was explaining to him what happened and he interrupted asking me if I wanted it or not? I said no...he slammed the glass plate with the pancakes on them on the glass skillet that the skillet was in...I am truly surprised it did not break but glad it didn't because he did this where the skillet was sitting...in front of me! I asked for my check and presented my debit card ..the card machine was broken so he literally tossed my card on the counter and walked away. A young lady came with a machine that the wait staff carry and took payment,I asked her if the older gentleman was the owner she said yes...others at the register remarked how grumpy he was....I will NEVER spend money in this Restaurant again. Lumes for breakfast from now...

I've been going to this restaurant for a number of years, but today my experience was different. I will say about 99% of the times I went was excellent, but today was the 1% time that was awful. It started with me ordering something different I usually get the same thing everytime I go but I wanted to try something different. What I order contains different meats like bacon,sausage and ham. When I first started eating I thought it tasted funny but I thought it was the sausage because sausage is always hit or miss sometimes then I tasted the ham by it self. Omg! The ham was spoiled, I let the waitress know she said she will tell the cooks and didn't offer anything else like take something off my bill, maybe you think she take off for the coffee or something. When we got up to leave I saw the cooks and all the employees staring at us. It was my husband birthday and I didn't want to make a scene so I left $5 tip because she was very nice and pay for our food and left. The moral to this story is :stick to what you know!!! Don't chance ordering...

Went to restaurant with my infant. Went to the restroom to change him and apparently, unbeknownst to me, my waitress left for the day but made sure my bill was left on the table. I returned to eat my food, waited for my waitress to return to see if I needed anything or offer a to go box. It never happened. Neither did anyone EVER come over to see if I needed anything. I had to again leave my food and search for someone to bring another drink and water. I then asked if my waitress left for the day and was told yes. At they point I was very upset and went to pay my bill. The manager came to take my money, I explained how disappointed I was in the previous events, not looking for any handouts. He responded with no eye contact the total due. I asked was it customary that the waitress leaves and no one covers their customers who are still present. He tells me I should be asked for someone to come and help me! He was very rude and I was disgusted, I will never...
