Taco Burrito King, located on the border of Summit, IL, and the Garfield Ridge neighborhood, is a hidden gem that delivers an impressive punch when it comes to authentic Mexican cuisine. Despite its unassuming exterior, this local spot embodies a culinary experience that keeps patrons coming back for more, myself included. Having frequented this establishment for years, I've explored their menu extensively, and while everything is commendable, there's one dish that steals the spotlight every time: the Tacos de Asada. These tacos are a testament to the mastery of flavor that Taco Burrito King embodies. Tender, succulent pieces of asada meat are nestled within warm, soft tortillas, bursting with the smoky essence of perfectly seasoned beef. Each bite is a symphony of taste, leaving a lingering impression that speaks volumes about the quality and care put into every dish. However, if there's one dish that truly stands out as the star of the show, it's the Loaded Fries. Imagine a generous mound of golden fries, heaped with savory asada, and adorned with a colorful array of toppings: crisp cilantro, tangy onions, juicy tomatoes, creamy avocado, and the pièce de résistance – a decadent layer of nacho cheese. It's a culinary masterpiece that defies expectations and delivers an explosion of flavors with every bite. The harmony of textures and tastes in the Loaded Fries is unparalleled, creating a symphony of flavors that dance on the palate. From the crunch of the fries to the melt-in-your-mouth goodness of the meat and the fresh burst of vegetables, every element comes together in perfect harmony, elevating this dish to legendary status. Taco Burrito King isn't just a local eatery; it's a culinary destination that embodies the soul of Mexican cuisine. Whether you're a longtime regular or a newcomer eager to explore authentic flavors, a visit to this humble establishment promises an experience that transcends mere dining. And as for the Loaded Fries, they're not just a dish; they're a revelation – a testament to the culinary genius that awaits you at Taco...

[]BOOK 1[] -Prologue- This is a story I have told many times. I hold this memory very close to my heart and will cherish it forever. It's my freshman year of college. I'm not one to stay up late (at college), but it's the week before Thanksgiving break. I'm with a few friends in their room, we're craming for our upcoming exams.
-Chapter 1- The clock strikes midnight. After a few hours of studying, I explain that I'm really hungry and could go for a bite. Without any plans, we make our way to leave dorm. I guess we were making a bit of noise because someone peeks their head out of literally every other door down the hall asking "y'all getting food". By the time we make it out, there's maybe 20 or so people with us outside. I ask the crowd, so "what's even open right now?" In the crowd, someone says "TBK". "What's TBK" I ask". "Taco Burrito King". It was the only place open at the hour within walking distance. The crowd of us hungry college kids make our way.
-Chapter 2- I order a Junior burrito with chicken. I didn't want to risk eating something large as the crowd had given mixed reviews about the establishment. To my surprise, the Junior burrito was quite large. I was also given two Salsas, one green and one red. I took one bite and was satisfied. I cannot say with confidence if the burrito was good, or I was just really hungry. Overall, the night was one I really enjoyed. I made many new friends, got a pretty neat college story to tell, and found a new restaurant to support me when I get hungry late at night.
-Epilogue- This school year, I learned of a restaurant that was always there to support me. Whenever I was broke, starving, and at my worst, TBK was open and...
