The Hoagie Place — Restaurant in Lake Township

I love the food, I usually only get cold Subs so I'm in and out and it's quick and the quality that I need, however the service and the attitude of the man at the front was left to be desired. I am handicapped and on a cane with a leg brace so that means EVERY MOVE COUNTS. I looked online to see that they closed at 10:00p.m. got there at 9:15 and I was calling the whole way walking from the bus stop to try to make sure they didn't close early or have covid times and didn't update their website like most places. they were open and I was grateful but when I mentioned how I was calling the man said "well we don't answer the phone anymore we just don't bother with it you know if you want something you can come in" I'm like okay well that's professional... then I asked him well the only reason I was calling was to confirm the hours online can you tell me if those are the right hours every day? then he says "oh I don't know anything about that I don't know what's listed online" and I'm like so you're the face of the business right now, how do you not know about the place you work at the very least the hours! you're the one talking to the customer directly????

They're making good money because Taurus Subs is out of business right now and also Home of the Hoagie takes too damn long. I hope Taurus Subs gets a good lawyer Sue's their insurance company that screwed them over and gets their Chicago locations back up and running so they can show people you can still make a great sandwich and actually have some customer...

I been going here for several years never had problem food was always good even recommend to my family. Always get turkey hoagie, or steak sandwich. Order turkey hoagie and always be white turkey not smoked, and those that eat smoked turkey that's what they say SMOKE! Once again I ask for turkey and they give regular turkey not smoked.. today I go and order turkey which I been getting for several years and it's smoke turkey. So I call and talked to owner and tell him I ordered a turkey hoagie and it's smoke turkey, he says you have to say regular turkey. But I explained all these years I ask for turkey and it's been regular turkey. Anyways he agurgue with me it been that way. mind you when I was waiting for my order a lady brought back a hoagie she said should have been vegetarian and they trying to tell her that what she ordered. I explained to him they need to put up a sign to say when you order turkey to specify regular turkey or smoked turkey. But anyway How you expect to keep customer when you basically calling them liar. Won't be getting my business or anyone else I know. Common sense if a person wants smoked that's what they would ask for. If you say turkey hoagie that's regular turkey meat.u want to keep customer then treat them right!! You're in our neighborhood be respectful and you get respect

I came to get some food for me and my family the lady that took my order and refused to give her name she forgot to give me my change back and when I told her she never gave me my change but did give me the ticket she said with a nasty attitude oh because you walked off I’m like you gave me my ticket and said next and I let you take the other order because we all know it’s always packed but to just say I walked off but you just gave me my ticket and said next is crazy…..

One other dude had the same issue she was trying to argue back and forth so much he said keep the change but he came back for the change because of how rude she was another lady complained and said she was drunk another lady came in and said yeah she is drunk and when I called the store to let them know that they forgot my fries and the service was terrible the man on the phone replied it’s no big deal do you want to come buy some fries or not and said that she never charged us for the fries I would’ve came back and got the fries but after dealing with ignorant drunks I’m ok they food use to be a hit and they always had the best service at one point maybe it’s the crowd or something but they are becoming very unprofessional...
