Highly disappointed in this place I order here 4 to 5 times a week when I get off my break , One other time I ordered my sandwich (BIG VEGGIE MELT NO CHEESE And all vegetables one of the workers was touching my sandwich after touching becon and I asked for my sandwich to be made again because Iām vegan the GENERAL Manager told me next time I have to ask for the gloves to be changed I said ok I will next time . So this time around I asked for gloves and the other lady related to the other team member to change his gloves and i come so often even the workers know my order by heart , so the team members was placing my condiments and I was explaining to him Iām vegan and I donāt like my food, touching other meat products as we were talking, he proceeded to cut my sandwich with a knife that he used to cut all the other meat products, including pork which I also know that thatās cross contamination at ANY restaurant . I asked for my sandwich to be remade, which was not a problem, but thenā¦
The general manager (Betty) came over and told me I asked you to tell my workers everything that you want for your sandwich last time because you holding up my line and I do this every single time that I come in the store (untrue) itās only been one other time that I asked for the gloves to be changed and I come very often . I proceeded to ask the general manager, Betty I have to ask for my sandwich to be cut with a separate knife and I told the person that the bread station that Iām vegan and I donāt want my sandwich touching other meat products and she alerted her team member that Iām Vegan and to change his gloves She told me yes I have to ask her every single thing and itās not a requirement for her to change knives or gloves I Even have a voice recording of her saying all of these things she was very dismissive as to what I was trying to explain, she did not listen to me, She over talked me , She talked with a lot of aggressiveness in her voice and just plain rude . I even tried to resolve the issue by pulling her to the side and having a one on one conversation with her that did not GO WELL AT ALL. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI placed my order upon discharge from the hospital for the weekend and it provided a 12:05 pick up, however when my caregiver arrived at 12:02 she did not receive my order and return to the car until 12:28. I counted 12 people who went in and came out myself prior to calling her to ask what was going on. She told me it wasn't ready and the staff had her waiting. She then was in the establishment an additional 12 minutes. Upon returning to the car she informed me the young female cashier remarked that she shouldn't have an attitude, which she rebutted she did had a right to be upset because of all the individuals who had come and gone and her order was supposed to be ready 30 minutes ago. When she asked about additional condiments and needs she curtly responded "everything was in the bag". However when I arrived home and opened my bag there was only 2 dressings, no spoon for the soup, the sandwich did not have extra mayo and NO napkins in the bag. I haven't checked everything yet as the food is for the entire weekend but so far I am Thoroughly Disappointed and Upset with the service, product and response time. You can definitely tell there has been a change/turn over in staff because there is a level of rudeness that is completely unnecessary (which was not present pre-pandemic). Most Potbelly locations open in the early mornings, not this establishment. They open at 10am. On 12/27/21, I was āwelcomedā by female staff members at 10:47am shouting, āwe not open yet!ā When I asked why if the sign says, you open at 10 am and itās almost 11am? She rolled her eyes and stated, āwe are just getting here because they had to cut the locks off!ā She looked at me as if I was wrong for even asking why they were not open. I asked for the number to corporate 3 times and was ignored. Today, during lunch rush the lights cuts off. It was bad enough prior to the light cutting off, most of the focus was not on customers in line, but other orders (assuming preorders or UberEats). There is definitely some retraining that needs to occur in this Potbelly location. Itās disappointing that this is how they are treating...
