I wish I could add a review without a star rating because we weren’t able to eat here. The website says kitchen hours on Friday are until 10 pm and bar hours are until 11 pm. We arrived at 8:45 on a Friday and were told the kitchen was closed for the night. When we asked about the 10 pm closing time he said they close the kitchen an hour before close, although the website does specifically say kitchen closes at 10 and bar closes at 11. It was my birthday, we had a sitter for the night and I was really looking forward to trying a local business with great reviews so it was pretty disappointing. If the kitchen does close at 9 every night, that’s fine! But it would be really nice if the website was updated so customers know what to expect and can plan accordingly and don’t waste their time. Looking forward to trying it out at a later date, well before the listed...

They were out of a couple of the things on the menu as we were there close to closing but the waitress gave us great recommendations so we had the papas taquitos (crispy shell with soft potato’s and crema and cilantro), beef empanadas (tender flakey crust with juicy filling and a really good sauce - my husbands fave), carne asada (great grilled beef flavor with classic cilantro and onion) and al pastor tacos, elotes and chips with pico de gallo (I really couldn’t get enough of the pico, so fresh and yummy). Everything was delicious and the atmosphere was an upscale casual neighborhood restaurant. The flan for dessert was my fave, really rich custard with a deep and smoky caramel flavor. Can’t wait...

The food-drinks are exceptionally priced, especially given that it’s 100% homemade, (even the drinks are homemade). We got to meet one of the sisters, she made the night. Her inspiration is Lucille Ball, a strong woman that fought her way in the 1950’s era. The music played at the restaurant is classic, (I think Buena Vista Social Club), elegant and classy. The atmosphere is sheik and modern, but also comforting and relaxing. They also have happy hour ALL days of the week - Monday is all day Margaritas! I will be back for happy hour to enjoy a glass of wine with my dinner on a...
