Back in the day decades ago,I discovered this family franchise restaurant at their North Clark Street location close to Division Street.I don't know if that location still exists or NOT,but I do remember the customer service and the food being pretty good or solid overall.Fast Forward to today about a year or two ago when I discovered this Ravenswood location that is the closest to my residence.I don't exactly remember what I had on my debut visit,but it was something from their Dinner menu and I think I liked it.Fast Forward again to last week in June 2025 recently,I ordered their new "Mexican Omelette".My sides were their rice & beans with flour tortillas.Very Shockingly,the omelette was almost flavorless because it was clearly NOT well seasoned.The Iffy female waitress I had said it is one of her favorites and it is good as well as their cheeseburgers and the rest of their Mexican menu.The beans were generic and flavorless too.However,their rice actually had more flavor than I expected.It was the best thing I ate that day aka my subsequent visit.This exact same waitress said their Angus Beef Meatloaf was well seasoned too as well as their burgers.Ladies & Gentlemen this is a FIB.On my third visit last week I ordered their Meatloaf and it was seasoned but NOT well seasoned like she said it was.It came with a garlic bread slice and a bowl of their brown gravy to dip it in and veggies (Cauliflower,Broccoli,and Carrots).I ordered their mashed potatoes for my side choice and they had the same brown gravy on them too.I only liked dipping the garlic bread slice in my bowl of brown gravy though.They offer free dessert with every dinner nowadays too.I ordered their Chocolate Cream Pie slice.The chocolate part of it was NOT creamy like an actual fresh slice of it will be.It was more like a solid jello texture instead like a slice that was in a refrigerator too long from a pie that was NOT baked fresh that day at all.Or they gave me a leftover pie slice from a pie that was baked previously NOT on that day like another customer didn't want it anymore and they gave it to me instead.This is the kicker though:I saw another Chocolate Cream Pie that was clearly made earlier today Fresh and the chocolate cream part looked extremely creamy the way my slice should have been that they gave me last week.Today I ordered their Cheeseburger with their regular French Fries.I asked the Sassy and Iffy waitress I unfortunately ended up with today to make sure they're very crispy.She did NOT bring me very crispy fries the first time.I asked her if she knows what very crispy means and very shockingly she gave me a stank attitude response to my question ghetto style almost.About an half an hour later or more she finally brought me some more french fries.This bowl of them was cooked longer just enough to give me a sense of crunch but only by default at best though.Even my favorite iodine salt I brought with me couldn't save these flavorless fries,period.My cheeseburger wasn't well seasoned either by the way.Some nasty looking cole slaw came with it and I ordered my choice of soup that comes with it which was their Cream Of Chicken soup.On my Meatloaf visit last week I had their chicken noodle soup.Their soups are literally the best thing I ate from them recently but of course this is by default because they're dinner and lunch I just told you about is inferior at best especially,period.More than likely they do NOT use Fragrance & Toxins Free Dishwashing Liquid to wash their dishes,cups,and silverware.I mentioned this to the Sassy waitress I had today and she did NOT care.I been drinking their "Soda Water".The only reason I tipped her way more money than I intended was only because I didn't have any singles in my wallet.If that's not taking one for the team for my racial and gender demographic especially,then I don't know what is.Atmosphere wise,they have an extremely shocking combination of Urban and Pop tunes without the volume level being Grating.The seating has NO cushioning for their booths & tables,but the wood interior is...

I Then Saw That This Elderly Male Customer Was Tapping His Foot Loudly And Very Annoyingly on The Floor. Maybe He Was Impatient? I Tried To Ignore This Annoyance And Continue My Meal, But I Found This Impossible To Do. So I Asked The Waiter To Speak To This Customer. He Did, But Elderly Customer Continued With His Foot Tapping on Floor. I Then Asked Waiter To Again, Speak To Elderly Man About His Annoyingly Loud Foot-Tapping on Floor. I Am Trying To Eat My Meal With A Certain Amount of Peace. Waiter Said Man Is Leaving Soon, He Is Getting Meal "To-Go" Man Continued Foot Tapping. I Got Up Told Him His Foot Tapping Was Very Annoying, And That I Was Trying To Eat My Meal. Well The Elderly Man Got Very Angry That Anyone Would Dare Tell Him Not To Foot-Tap In A Restaurant Where Other Patrons Were Trying To Eat Their Meal. And He Very Immaturely Started To Call Me Names And Loudly Complain About Me, And The Low Level of "Customers Nowadays" (Because I Dared To Complain About His Inconsiderate To Other Patrons Foot-Tapping Behavior) Well He Went on And on With His Rant, Acting Like The Injured Party. And I Responded By Telling Him He Shoud'nt Hide Behind His Age. (Some People Don't Know When To Shut-Up) I then Complained To Waiter About This Unpleasant Dining Experience Due To This Unpleasant (And Immature) Customer. And That I Would Like To Speak With The Mgr. Well The "Mgr" Arrived And Told Me That "This (Restaurant) Was A Public Place" And That There Was Nothing She Could Do About Customers Behavior. Loud Children For Example (And I Assume Unruly) Finger/Nail Drumming on Table. (Yes, I Would Also Have Found Finger/Nail Drumming on Table Annoying, And Complained) That She Was Not Going To Ask Such Customers To Leave Restaurant Premises. I Mentally Disagreed With Said Mgrs "Opinion" And When Paying My Bill Asked For The Corporate Phone No. The Mgr. Told Me That She Is The Owner of This Establishment. And The 5 Others In The City of Chicago. And That I "Had Cost Her A Good Customer" (The Loud Impatient Foot-Tapper) I Thought To Myself That I Don't Need To Patronize An Establishment That Values (Foot-Tapping And or Finger/Nail Table Drumming Customers) Who Annoy Other Customers, Higher Then The Customers Who Complain About Them. I Then Showed My Military I.D. To Cashier To Show Mgr/Owner That I Was A Frequent Enough Customer To Know That This Establishment Gave Discounts To Veterans. And The Caliber of Customer She Was Losing (Me The Veteran) I Then Told Said Owner This Was Last Occasion I Would Patronize This Establishment. Read moreHorrible customer service experience with a hostess and manager (Cathy Guzman) on Saturday, May 29 at around 11:00 am. My mother walked in and saw someone in front of her waiting so she decided to wait until a worker attended to her. She waited to be attended by a hostess for 5 minutes. While waiting a male customer walked in and asked her if she had signed in. She told him she had not since she was waiting for someone to attend to her. The male saw that the person in front of my mother had a buzzer and was waiting to be called on. The male decided to cut in front of my mother. My mother then decided to follow him because this was not fair since she was there waiting before him. The male gave the hostess his name and then my mother intervened and told the hostess that he wasn't there first. The hostess decided to believe the male and gave him a #2 buzzer. Whereas, the hostess gave my mother a #7 buzzer. When the male got called on a table first, my mom told the hostess why was he called on first since she was initially there first and they both had the same amount of people waiting for a table. (Which was 2.) The hostess told my mother "Why are you fighting for a table?". After that rude and childish comment my mother threw the buzzer on the counter and told her she wasn't going to stay after the disrespectful encounter. They decided to believe a young white male over an older minority. They could have approached the situation in a well manner but they decided not to. The hostess wasn't doing her job the best she could. She could have diffused the situation and asked who was there first. Yet, she decided to act childish by making a rude comment. Later on that day the manager (Cathy Guzman) called my mother and told her why didn't she walk all the way in to make a reservation. The type of management that this store is running is very unorganized and there is no sign that indicates customers should walk in to get a buzzer. As a customer and during the times of COVID-19, you should wait to be attended since that is the norm in every other restaurant. This store needs better management and much greater customer service.

At the end of the day your customer service is horrible and you treated my mother in a demeaning way. You are lying about having buzzers for the last two years because we went a month ago and were seated without having to use buzzers. We have also gone as a family several times and never used buzzers over the last 2 years. I would have thought that after making several complaints you would owe up to the mistakes your team made.
