Four Moon Tavern — Restaurant in Lake View Township

Our server was doing great. Friendly and attentive. Then he forgot to put in our food order. We were disappointed as we had to pick up kids from hoops at 9:30pm and wanted a quick bite. We had one more beer (maybe on the house) also could not read the bill easily. The food runner drops the food and we do not see the server again. Someone else cashes us out and that was that. I got home, talked to the manager Matt who did not say they would make it up to us. He apologized but didn't take that extra step. Sometimes stuff happens in the food service industry and we're just thankful to be out. The thing I want you to know if you have great food and good beers and always seem busy. Some pubs would.love to have your business. Take care of your customers and don't ghost us when things go bad. We were more than cool about it. As Covid has taught a lot of business owners, it's not easy to make ends meet and you have to take care of your customers and they will take care of you. I still given them 5 stars as the fish sandwich I had a was delicious and the place is a neighborhood gem. I will be back but want to be candid as someone else may not...

One of my favorite places in Roscoe Village any time that there aren't a lot of families with children taking over the patio. WAIT! If you're like me and don't really want to day drink around children, don't write it off. This neighborhood is teeming with kids, but Four Moon Tavern still REALLY FEELS like a tavern. And if you can drink around the feeding time of small humans (noon and five) then you're golden. I also love to come here in the winter because it's never freezing and their drink selection is spot on. If you like beer, this is your place.
