Windy City Shaved Ice, a.k.a. "Snowie," was one of the best discoveries I made at the Farmers' Market this summer. First of all, the owners, Dawn and Roger, are lovely, down-to-earth people. It was a real pleasure to chat with them, and then dive into a cup of iced flavors of my choosing--and not only do they have plenty of flavors to choose from, but the taste is so perfectly refreshing and good. What a much-needed addition to the market! Great vibes all around and amazing shaved ice, guaranteed to put the crankiest person in a good mood. Recommended for all ages. I can't wait for next summer...

I got a guava (and lime I think) shaved ice treat WEEKS ago at the Andersonville Midsommarfest and have been thinking about it ever since—it was that good! Which led me to finally hunt down this wonderful business and figure out where they will be next so I can get more! The business owners were lovely and so kind too. I remember they had a dog bowl out for the puppies which they added shaved ice to. Definitely will be supporting them...

Roger and Dawn are incredibly kind, and their shaved ice is both refreshing and delicious. With so many unique flavors to choose from, guava has definitely become my favorite.
