So this is another fake Vietnamese restaurant owned by Chinese. The decor is Chinese. Not that important but it just screams knock off and you know things aren't going to be good. The place is dirty. The bathrooms haven't been cleaned in a while. Lots of biofilm going on. Warm humid urine smelling bathrooms that were not clean. Gross. Floor wasn't swept. Trash on dining room floor. Dead insect was plastered to the wall next to my table. Check out the green algae growing in the fish tank. That thing hasn't been cleaned in a long time. Poor fish. They use a silly robot who brings your food to other people's tables. Not Good. Pho is not pho really. It's pretend beef soup. Looks real. Does not taste right. They don't know how to make the broth correctly. The robot is useless. A gimmick. The waitress has to follow it and pick up your bowl and set it down. They have me ice coffee without ice. Then they tried to correct it but giving me a plastic cup with a sealed lid and a drink that was full of sugar and caramel flavoring. Not Vietnamese ice coffee at all. Basically this place is another Chinese knock off. Done badly. Nothing is right here. It's funny because you have so many people that have never really had real Pho. And they think it's great. So don't trust the reviews. Anyone that grew up with this food or lived in an area with a Vietnamese community can tell you this isn't real or even good. It might even be...
Read moreThis was the most confusing restaurant experience I have ever had. Judging only by the food I was served, I would have given Pho Noodle Station 4 stars. The crab rangoon was large, delicately fried, and crispy, and my Pho Tai, Bo Vien had rich and flavorful broth, but the beef was slightly chewy.
My wife was served the worst Pho Ga we have ever had in our lives. The broth was not seasoned, not underseasoned, there was no flavor to it at all. If there had not been visible fat on the surface, we would have thought they had simply poured hot water over the chicken and called it a day. After trying to salvage it with sriracha and hoisin, we gave up and sent it back. We have never sent food back that wasn't an overcooked steak, but it had to be done. My wife asked to replace it with the Pho Tai, which the waitress thankfully did.
Knowing how delicious the broth in my bowl was, we expected the problems were now over. But the second bowl my wife was served was not the same broth that I had. It had flavor, but was very weak and thin. Almost as though it had been watered down with the chicken broth. If the beef broth was consistently good, we could have overlooked the terrible chicken. Alas it was not.
Also, if you're going to have a fish tank greet your guests at the entrance, you should make sure to remove the dead fish. It was an omen we probably should...
Read moreHoly **! Ordered from Door Dash. While at work. Did I go overboard? Yes. WAY overboard. And I'm glad I did! I've only eaten one side so far but already had to write the review. Don't have to have eaten the rest to mnow it's incredible - I can see it.
The crispy eggrolls were delicious and cooked to perfection (ate them already.) The spring rolls...I thought to myself - no way they look like "the picture"...but they DO!
And the Pho...If I tried wroting the review after, it would just be a jumble of random characters as I basked in the afterglow.
Oh, and the Matcha {chefkiss}
I added extra just about everything to the Pho and loaded my bubble tea up with as many delicious globules of joy as I could.
To describe what's happening physically right now is inappropriate for a family website.
Just go eat there now. If you can't then have it delivered. You're wasting your life...
