I became a customer last year. Never had a bad meal until last night. Purchased almost $50 in takeout. Asked for a special order (grilled onions) on a burger. They said no problem, but when I got home they were raw. The burger tasted rancid.
Grilled chicken was not grilled and looked dry. It's consistency was rubbery. Onion rings were almost dripping soggy. Mozzarella sticks not fully cooked and French fries were almost straight out of the freezer bag... completely uncooked. Hot dogs were likewise rubbery.
Half of the meal was not eaten. Presentation disastrous. I took some of the unedible food back and asked for a full refund the next morning. They said I "should have called the night before to let them know". The same person who sold the food to me was the one I was talking to the next morning. I had thought bringing the food that I had back would have been evidence enough of how bad it truly was. I have never rejected an entire meal for such horrible quality.
I was told that, because we had eaten some of the food, they "would not" give me a full refund, and that I should have brought it all back. We did TRY to eat it and only brought back the worst of it.
They would only credit me 50%. I told them that it isn't just the quality of food that matters... it is how you deal with your loyal customers that should matter as well. They didn't care. I told them that, if they weren't willing to give me a full refund for a total failure on the meal, that I would not return. They did not care.
If you bother to try to eat there, check ALL of your food for quality BEFORE you leave. My recommendation is to go across the street to Sammie's. Don't waste a dime on this place. Loyal customers don't mean anything to them, so neither should...
Read moreI usually only do this when weve had something excellent but this was worth warning people. I ordered an order to go. And I said on the phone I have three orders. Yet they tried to put all the orders together. then he told me you need to tell me you have 3 orders and I did more than once because he was having problems. So he was ringing it up. Because he seemed so confused I'm asking him for a receipt. When he tells me he doesn't have receipts. But then gives me one. Ordered large onion ring which had 5 in bag. I questioned this. He right away said yes large onion ring ....$9.99 mind you. When I questioned again and i said oh ok ......we won't be back ...then he said, oh no that's a small. Then the hot dogs should be .99 cents.. thats what they advertise. But they rung up at 1.09. When I asked him about it... he said yes, plus tax. But the tax is on the bottom. Ordered a Chicago dog with everything. Came with ketchup and no sports pepper. Didn't catch that before I left but did catch another dog that was wrong. They fixed. The guy had excuse after excuse. I dont care ..just fix it, were good. Totally cold fries. I'm not sure what's happening there...it's been several years since I've been there and it will be several more before I go back. Make sire to pay attention to your bill and go thru your order to check it...
Read moreSuch a disappointment! I used to eat here once a week 15 years ago. The food was always great and the place looked nice. I just drove 10 miles out of my way to eat there again after all this time. When I walked in the place looked horrible and no air conditioning when it was over 90 outside. No ceiling fans turned on because they're all broke. I ordered a Patty Melt but wanted it with swiss cheese. No luck, they only have chedder cheese. How could a burger joint only have 1 cheese selection??? Settled for a tuna sandwich and milkshake. The shake was watery and very bland. Because it was unbearably hot in the restaurant I decided to take my food home. Imagine my surprise when I opened my tuna sandwich and it was chicken tacos! And the worst tacos I've ever had! Nothing but chicken and sprinkled mozzarella cheese on them. I couldn't have gotten someone else's order because no one else was in the restaurant! So sad this place went downhill so bad....
