Crazee Ice — Restaurant in Lake Villa

Tried this cute lil venue this past late August after eating dinner nearby. Dessert is always a must for my boys and this place is a real find.

One of my co-workers less than 2 weeks earlier had mentioned this family-owned shop recently opened and they pretty much stumbled onto it after eating dinner and said his family loved it.

Definitely not your typical ice cream parlor with the addition of Italian ice but it's the family/staff that are sooo friendly and welcoming that made it a delightful first experience.

Sampled some Italian ice but went with ice cream the first time around, definitely will return and order up some Italian ice the next visit.

This is our new "go to ice cream shop! My boyfriend and I are in here once a week since we discovered the place last month. It's a family-owned/operated business with a rather unique product; ices, ice cream, and plenty of [insertyourallegy]-free options! Last night I had the "Coconut Almond Explosion" which was dairy-free, super decadent, and had the texture of a cloud (no, really). Everything we have had, and we eat a lot of ice cream, has been outstanding. Our fav flavor is the "Lemon Cheesecake"! We took our grandkids for our first visit to Crazee-ice over the weekend. One of the kids can't have ice cream so the Crazee ice flavors were just perfect for her! She enjoyed a root beer float. Among us we tried cotton candy,Pina colada, blue raspberry and I had a root beer float w vanilla ice cream. Our server was great to offer tastings and surprised us with some tasty popcorn at our table. They also had adorable dipped Valentine Oreos done up for yourself or gifting. Bought those for my brother in law and sister. Very friendly atmosphere! Lots of new creations. It can be pricey ( what isn't?) but you can chose cones or dishes of Crazee ice or ice cream more reasonably. The best thing ever was no stomach ache for my granddaughter with the Crazee ice option....
