Taco Riendo — Restaurant in Lake Wales

Oh my goodness gracious... that's all we have to say hours after eating Taco Riendo for the first time. The delicious smell of the carne still on my fingertips hours after devouring my lunch.... I have lived in Lake Wales for 5 years... passed this food truck SO many times... suggested it to my fiance way too many times as we pass by and finally today was the day we finally tried it and I'm SO UPSET it took me FIVE YEARS before I finally got this delicious food in my belly.

We are California natives and struggled for over a decade and across 3 other states to find authentic Mexican tacos that remind us of home. BUT TODAY WAS THE DAY WE FOUND IT AND IN OUR BACKYARD OF ALL PLACES 🙌

We tried the Carne Tacos, Flautas and a Carne Quesodilla and absolutely everything was amazing. My fiance loves tacos, and I have never heard him say "Oh my goooooood yum" after every bite of a taco ANYWHERE in the past decade.... not even for mine! 🤣🤌

Steak is seasoned AMAZINGLY. Chicken was to die for and the amount of meat you get is almost unheard of in todays times! they definatelt didnt skimp on the goodies! MY MONEY WAS WELL SPENT!!!

We are now addicted and will be back. We are planning a breakfast run and a few other lunch runs in the near future.

I went here specifically for the fruit drinks and fruit. When I arrived they didn’t have either. I ordered the tostada and was excited for something with avocado because I was craving avocado. They gave me the tostada avocado free and when I asked why they said they were out of avocado. The food wasn’t bad, but you should have all the items on your menu as much as possible and tell people they are out of items in their dish as they are ordering it, but after they get it.

Response to their response Well. The service was given two out of five because she wasn’t all that nice and she rolled her eyes when we asked for extra napkins, and I appreciate the extra cheese but we didn’t ask for it and all I wanted was avocado and fruit. She didn’t explain that there was no avocado until after I got my order. I’m just trying to leave an honest review. I even said the food was good. I just wanted to be honest because I was confused by all the 5/5 stars when it just was a bit disappointing to me. I was in a car for 8 hours today and only could stop at one place to eat food and I chose your restaurant based on the reviews and menu items and yet I couldn’t get what was...

I would like to give this place a better review but we have been here more then a dozen times and they only ever have tacos, tostadas or quesadillas. Those items are always good, but we have tried coming here at all different times of the day and week, and everything else is never available. They have a menu of many items, like Tamales, Burritos, Flan etc. but seems to never have them in stock, even if we come early during lunch or early dinner. It is just a bummer to drive out and to always be told everything is out. I am happy they have an active business but it is discouraging to make the trip.

Editted to two stars instead of three in response to the owners response: I did mention I have come all hours of the day, when I arrived I was told there were no Tamales, not just the ones "I didn't want". I didn't say which I wanted. Also Tamales were not marked off the list as you stated. I understand its a small food truck & I am happy you do not waste. We also came at 3pm today, not 4pm. I am happy for your business but even when we have come on different days of the week at earlier hours there has not been many items to...
