Read moreI went to my local Taco Bell last night, on SR 60 in Lake Wales, FL. I had pre ordered my food via the Taco Bell app, and paid for it. I ordered it to pick up in the store where I can check it for accuracy and there drive thru is slow. This was approximately 8:30 on a Fri night. I arrive at 8:35 and the door to the lobby is locked. There was a girl cleaning up the lobby, as well as people still eating inside and I told her that I was picking up my to go order from the app. I saw it bagged on the counter. The employees told me To go pick up in the drive thru, as usual it was packed. I counted 8 cars in front that I could see. It took me until 8:56 to get to the window. I asked the person at the window what time the lobby closes? He informed me that they close it whenever they don’t have the staff to work the front. I said what about the person cleaning, they can’t simply hand me my food? He answered, NO. I also asked if the bag I saw on the counter 25 or so minutes ago was my order, he replied, yes. Without offering to at least give us hot food after such a long wait. So no offer of anything to solve the issue or even acknowledge that wasn’t ok. Customer service is so terrible at that location. Was asked by the drive thru attendant if order was correct which it was (ON SCREEN) when I got my food and drove home to eat only to realized that two of the menu items that I had SPECIFICALLY asked for certain ingredients to be removed and some ingredients to be added were COMPLETELY wrong. I am not sure if it was the time I had came through or if it was something else. But I don’t see at 9:51pm when the store closes at 1:00am would be an issue. Also at the time supposedly the card reader was down and tap pay was not an option so cash was the only thing to be accepted so I used cash. But it seemed like the crew didn’t even want to do their job or they simply didn’t care. I work as an assistant manager for a shop so I understand how it is sometimes. But I still strive to do my job simply because it’s what I agreed to do. So I do not understand how it’s hard for simple instructions that is displayed on a screen to do.
