Rey Azteca — Restaurant in Lake Wylie

Wow. They have gone so downhill. We were regulars there. Over the past few months we kept saying we are not going back, but last week was the the final. First of all, their portions are now like children's. $14 for fajitas I usually have leftovers for. Second, they must have changed the meat because it is cut differently and looks like Chinese food beef and chicken. I asked about it and they said they have a new machine. Okay. But really, the flavor is absent from any dish they served . There was absolutely no spice on the fajitas. I didn't eat them and they charged me for eating the beans and rice (fair). The previous times the tacos and rice and beans were.almost inedible. They were dried out beyond belief. I am very sad because my friends and family love Rey Azteca in LW. And we have given the .several chances to improve, but I will not be going there for Mexican food anymore. New cook? New management? Cutting...

Went in last night, Server came up and tried to take drink order and left, 10 min later a new server comes up and takes drink order then brings drinks. Says he will be right back for order. 8 min later comes back takes order. The item I ordered on menu did not say in the list of ingredients that onions were on it. Also said in came with sour cream. When food was delivered my gf had asked for cheese topping to be on the side it was not so he took back. My order had onions but no one checked on me so I removed them (later that night onions just tear up my stomach) no sour cream and the side dish that menu did not list has guac came out with guac. Mean while gf food not their. She had to get it to go. This was worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant. They had many servers on floor working no reason for this...

Not impressed and very poor service. My wife and I had lunch here to try finding authentic Mexican tacos. Our server said we could only order Tex mex style tacos in 3s or 3 Mexican style taco meal for 12.99. Finally, we ordered lunch specials with 2 tacos and a burrito meal. They brought out 2 taco meals instead and argued that I ordered tacos. I ended up eating them to avoid the conflict. We also ordered regular margaritas but when the bill came we were charged for Jumbo Margaritas. When I brought it up to the server she said said we ordered jumbo drinks. After talking to the manager twice they finally charged us for the correct size drinks. The tacos are good but I will not be going back. The poor service and overpriced food made for a really...
