The best thing we had were the fortune cookies. The Crab Rangoon was stale, no crunch at all. The eggrolls were so small they actually put 3 in a bag made for one... and there was enough space for a forth. My Beef and Broccoli combo was 1/5th dry Beef and Broccoli (very little sauce and old beef) and 4/5ths rice. (This was not the normal skimp you see when ordering a combo, it was absurd). I paid extra for that rice to be chicken fried rice, but it was so white we thought they'd forgotten. Then I noticed it had onions in it, so it was supposed to be the fried rice but wasn’t browned at all and had no flavor. Did I say the beef tasted old. Two of my friends got Lo Mein and both said it was dry (How do you make dry Lo Mein!?!). My last friend got Bourbon Chicken but couldn’t eat it because the chicken was so overcooked. Then her friend went to eat it, took one bite and said, “no.”. She said the chicken was so dry that the crunch was on the inside. I envy the guy who said it was the best Chinese food he’d ever had. He has SO much to look forward to!! This place was awful…...
Read moreWe recently moved to the area and wanted some Chinese food. Google reviews were mixed, so I decided to find out for myself. A few nights back we ordered Wonton Soup (a bit salty for our taste), House Special Fried Rice (well seasoned), Sweet and Sour Chicken (crispy and hot), Bourbon Chicken (perfect blend of sweet and a touch of salty), and Egg Rolls (crispy and not too greasy). We figured there would be leftovers with all this food, especially since my father (a retired chef) has never cared for Chinese food. To our amazement, the only thing left to eat was some Wonton Soup (we added some bottled water and the saltiness was toned down to our taste). After only two nights, my father asked if we could order it again, he said it had been decades since he had such fresh and well made (cooked and seasoned) Chinese food. As for the owners, they seem like a hard working family. In addition, I observed no signs of rudeness from the lady at the counter whatsoever. I will definitely frequent this establishment as often as I can...
Read moreNormally go to a different Chinese restaurant, but they are closed on Mondays. So, I had heard good things about this one. Took a bit for someone to come help me a counter even though they were not busy at all. Ordered lunch specials & was told “no hot & sour soup, only egg drop or wonton”, so I got wonton for my side. After paying, I realized they do have hot & sour soup, it was just not a choice for lunch specials. So, ordered a separate container of it. Had she explained, I would have gotten egg rolls as my lunch special side. As it was, I had ordered a side of spring rolls. They were tiny & doughy. Not much filling. Once I got home, I realized they did not include the sweet & sour sauce for my s&s chicken. I had to drive back to get it. She did not apologize or anything & only gave me a small container of it. I am used to getting a larger amount, but whatever. Overall, the wonton soup, lo mein, rice, & sweet and sour chicken were ok. Next time, I will just wait till Tuesday to get my...
