Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Lakeland

Church's Chicken has always been a foundation of our community. When I was a child, we could always depend on Church's Chicken. Back then, it was very hard that people had less money it was a majority of the projects and their surrounding areas. We did not have internet. We promoted them by Word of Mouth. Church's Chicken help the surrounding area they have in so many ways that people are able to sit down and eat as a family. The quality , quantity, and value of the food were excellent. The atmosphere was great when you walked through the door. You knew you were loved. We were family. Today, Church's Chicken doesn't show that anymore it's all about greed. The quality of the food is not the same and the quantity The prices have went Sky High Knowing That economy is high and everyone is price gouging. You can't go and buy a whole meal and sit down and feed your family. You have to buy specials and coupons just to make it work. Our society has changed, and I understand change, but everyone doesn't have to. Church's Chicken saved us the community network the company By Word of Mouth. We were the internet, we were platforms. And we all survived. Now, with corporate America, it's all about greed. I'm very disappointed and dissatisfied. This is the worst location in the state. Period. Place is filthy, staff is depressed and unfriendly, almost as if I'm inconveniencing someone for ordering food. The line to order is slow moving, if you order online, don't expect your food ready. They won't make it till you get there even though the app says otherwise.

Today though takes the cake. I ordered food online, it said it would be ready at 6 o'clock. I got there at 6 o'clock and of course, it wasn't ready and there was a long line. When I finally made it up to the "to go" counter at 6:15 and told them my order number they told me to hold on. After 15 minutes more of waiting, A different staffer asked me what I was waiting for. I began explaining my order when she cut me off to tell me that they were out of white meat and that it would be another 20 minutes before it was ready.

Having waited 30 minutes already, I explained to her that I think it would just be better if I got a refund and went on my way. Without even looking at me she told me she could not give me a refund and it was up to me to call the corporate office. She handed me my receipt, and walked away.

I hate going here so much. If i was the owner I would be mad at how much the location is losing do to pooranagement. I found out that it's a corporate location too. I love the product but this was my last visit to this location, unless there is a big sign out there one day that reads "Now under new management." 1 star, will not recommend,...

I went there the other day and ordered a $39 dollar meal the grande meal for my family and had my daughter with me. They took 30 minutes preparing just one meal for one customer and then when I finally ordered she started preparing my food and then left the chicken and mash potatoes in the bag on the counter for at least 15 minutes and let 4 other ppl go ahead of me. I also asked for 2 Mac and cheese and they told me they only had 1 but yet the lady behind me ordered a Mac and cheese as well so. They gave me all the old stuff that was just sitting up there a while as far as chicken and biscuits with the meal ordered! At the end of the day I was at that place waiting on my food for an hour!!!! The place there is not clean either it looks like they don’t clean up after themselves at all and they don’t wear gloves when there preparing ppls food either!!!!If you want some good chicken go to Maryland Fried Chicken in Plant City! They are professional there and clean!!! They don’t have you waiting for an hour and let other customers ahead of after you ordered your food and then leave your food out sitting while your waiting for her to take care of the customers!
