On May 30, 2025 I purchase some cool and old vintage pokemon cards packs from the store. I expressed my concerns to the employee at the time that was helping me of the packs being possibly resealed and wanted to make sure if there were any issues I could come back and discuss the problem. Fast forward to June 11, 2025. After opening some of the packs, my fear came true and looks like the packs are resealed. I called and left a message that night due to the store being closed. The owner gave me a call back in the morning of the 12th to discuss the issue. I explained the card packs were resealed and would like a refund and I have the packs to show this and could bring them in and for them to take the items back. The owner expressed that if there was an issue it would have been needed to be brought up with in 24 hours. Due to personal reasons, I was not able to open the packs right away and I expressed I was told if there was an issue I could contact the store. The owner was very dismissive and non sympathetic to the situation. As a 3rd party selling on the vendors behalf and having told me at the time of purchase if there were issues I could reach out to the store I was a disheartened to hear this as the store bears some of the responsibility. Overall, a very tough situation on both sides because I understand being a business, but being told one thing and then going back on your word is not a great business model.
Additionally, the vendor should not be able to sell in this store because they will end up scamming more people.
I have attached photos of one of the packs showing area where the pack...
Read moreWe are so lucky to be home to Lloyd’s here in Lakeland! It is truly one of the best antique shops I have ever been to, and I don’t say that lightly as I love to thrift and shop for anything and everything vintage/ antique.
One of the reasons this place is so top bar is that most of the prices are quite reasonable. The tough thing about a majority of antique places is the prices reflect far beyond that the items are old and vintage, they’re usually sky high and completely unaffordable for most people’s incomes. Lloyds is not like this.
The place is also crazy big. It’s a 2-story house that’s been refashioned to fit every kind of antique knick knack you could imagine.
I could not believe the collection of things they have here. It’s such a variety I truly believe you could come in here looking for anything and manage to find something. From clothing to furniture to glass and china sets to toys (hot wheels, dolls, etc) to old records to books to cameras and so much more. That small list doesn’t even break the surface of what you can find here. It’s like going on a treasure hunt and you don’t know what you’ll find but you’re guaranteed to find where X marks the spot regardless.
I also love supporting Lloyds because of the owners. A husband and wife duo who work very hard and are so friendly and funny I just want nothing but the best for them.
Lloyds is truly a top tier antique place where you can walk away with a chest of treasures and not completely break...
Read moreI have never been so disappointed. I waited for months to bid on a specific item on the auction that just completed. I bid once or twice but then waited days until closer to the end. Sunday as it ended I put in final bids. And watched the time clock go to 0 saying I won the item. then immediately the time clock reset itself to 9 or 10 minutes and started it over again so I did the same thing, I bid and watched it till it was down to the end. Once again it ended saying I was the winner and once again the time clock reset itself. And I lost the bid. I sent a message. asking why this would do such a thing I've been told it's the policy so people can't Skype other peoples items. Surely you can see how unfair this practice is for people who are watching items for days and bidding on them as they go. It appears to me this practice is made to run the cost of the item up and cost up to the consumer. It's unfair and it's a poor practice that they need to change. This drove the cost of the item I was bidding on up at least $50 and allowed somebody else the chance who knew this was going to be reset to go in and Skype the item. This is the very practice they say wasthis policy setwas established to avoid. How about we just...
