The fries still the best! And the best part of this impromptu dine-in lunch that was disappointing.
We were starving and thrilled to see the 5 Guys sign up ahead. Relieved we didn't stop at McDonald's, we decided to eat in and enjoy our lunch before heading home. Our past experience with 5 Guys has always been good and we were expecting the same.
But, not all franchises are created equal I suppose and this one was not up to par. Neither the food nor the atmosphere was anything to write home about. Im glad this was unusual and probably just a fluke.
I got the small cheeseburger and it was just not fabulous. I've had a lot better from 5 Guys. There was more bun then burger and the burger could have been done more. It wasn't appealing taste or looks-wise.
The fries were awesome although a bit salty for my friend's taste. I like 'em that way.
When the price for your fastfood meal is $14.69 for a small burger, regular fry and regular drink...you (or I) expect more.
Seeing as how I really only ate the french fries (half as I split with my friend) and had a few bites of the burger and some Vitamin Water to drink.... I don't think it was worth it. Call me crazy but I could have done something better with that money.
I suppose I could have had the burger re-made but I really didn't feel like going through the hassle and waiting again.
The staff was nice but uninvolved. The spacer kept them inaudible. And the environment was clean... but, cold and sterile... This location seemingly moreso than others.
Really, it wasn't the best lunch and I was happy to get out of there. And that's a shame for this lunch that we were initially so excited about.
As stated, my experience with 5 Guys is usually much better. This was 1 out of 10 that was...
Read moreI haven't been to one in 10 years. Back then I obviously didn't care for their burgers or fries. I have to say that I'm extremely disappointed as I still don't care for their food. The burger is at least normal and not smashed, however it has zero flavor. Put all the ingredients you want on a burger, if the meat is not seasoned, it's crap. And theirs is!!! I tried the hotdog, which seriously they need to discontinue. It was waaaaaay overcooked and the bun, which they sliced in half, (huge No No), was soggy like it dipped in water...ugh!!!! They think they're cooking hotdogs some new cool way... But the only correct way is WHOLE, NOT SLICED, ( I'm not 5 years old). And either steamed or grilled. These dogs belong in the trash....nasty and grossly overcooked. Their fries were not as greasy as they were 10 years ago, but full of salt that made them difficult to eat. I had to wipe all the salt off if I dared to eat them. Also, their fries had more little itty bitty pieces than large normal pieces. Seriously, if you're so proud of your fries...be mindful what you serve your parons. I also tried a shake. It was the only decent item of food coming from this establishment. So, I should have learned my lesson 10 years ago and stayed away. At least now I will for sure. I expect decent food from all establishments, sadly this one failed big time twice...10 years ago and...
Read moreI have traveled to five guys all of the US. Last night had to be the worst example of professionalism i have ever seen. While leaving a GM event with a fellow GM of a local dealership. We decided to stop in and grab a bite. As the staff watched us exit the vehicle, we watched an employee take off running at full speed from door to door around the lobby. Locking the doors and turning off the open signs. Mind you at this time there is there to 5 mid teen to early twenty year old patrons or people that are not in the five guys uniforms. Watching this from the inside, laughing. As we entered the building. The young male cashier dressed in a black shirt, smirks and says "Sorry guys, we just closed." as the employee and the patrons laughed. A fellow GM looked at his watched and commented to the young man. It's five minutes to ten. Then the cocky cashier says with a smirk. Well, sorry sir, we go by our time. After being annoyed by the whole situation my fellow GM asked the young man for a card. He smartly stated "sure one of our punch cards the tenth burger is free. As his audience laughs at what has now become his comedy skit. Now the fact that they were closing was not a problem. but the utter disrespect of the situation and they way it was handled was very lacking in tact and i'm sure the training from such is big company has a different closing procedure...
