Pour Bear Coffee — Restaurant in Lakeland

I can confidently say Pour Bear is becoming one of my favorite coffee shops in Lakeland, if not top favorite.

I’ve been here a handful of times and have yet to have a bad experience or try something I haven’t liked. Their seasonal menus always have fun options that are really good, and they manage to usually have some unique spins on what most coffee places usually go with.

One of the best I’ve tried has been their “Boo” Brew- a marshmallow cold brew. They have baked goods as well that I believe they get from a local bakery- it can be hit or miss. Some are fantastic while others fall flat so it just depends what you choose there.

Lastly, the vibe here is what really gets me. Walking in you feel transported in time to the 60s & 70s- everything they have seems to have been thrifted or bought secondhand somehow. They have a lot of the art hung up on the walls for sale if you so desire. My mom and my grandma have both said the decor makes them nostalgic of how their families’ houses were decorated growing up, if that gives any hint to the atmosphere. It’s so fun.

I have been supporting this coffee shop for a while now, I always love coming in and getting their seasonal drinks. However, I have to say the customer service here is absolutely atrocious. The only reason I am repeat customer of theirs is because it’s is so conveniently located, and they really do have AMAZING drinks. However, if you're in ANY kind of a rush, DO NOT GO HERE!! There have been MULTIPLE occasions where I ordered my drink, and then was forgotten about. I used to be a barista, so I definitely understand that things get busy and mistakes can happen! But even when Pour Bear isn’t busy, I have now had two separate instances here where I have waited over THIRTY minutes for one iced latte to go....

Pour bear is a cute -family friendly coffee shop! During the week, it’s a cozy spot to read and study. On the weekend, it’s quite busy . 10/10 Coffee 10/10 Baked Goods 10/10 Cleanliness 5/10 Staff 3 stars for the atmosphere because of the staff. An employee who visited on her day off expressed her frustration about her manicure, her views about the owner of PBC, and work experience there. Another employee made rude remarks about a customer after leaving. In the cafe, there was no music and 3 other customers, we could hear everything. It was unprofessional and very uncomfortable to continue to sit in silence with all that was said. Please remind your staff that without music, the customers...
