Panda Express — Restaurant in Lakeland

After Our other China place in town had some real problems, We have been going to Panda. Food at Panda is usually fresh; although if it looks like the bottom of the barrel just ask they will make you a fresh batch. The shrimp, I think it's the wok shrimp I have, is really good. This shrimp does cost a little extra, but worth it, really big shrimp. I tried the steak a couple of times, meh. Not impressed. This time I added Tchicken to the rice, it was better than the steak but really the rice is very good by itself and likely not worth the extra price of adding chicken. Oh, if you do ask for your meal fresh, don't be in a hurry!; I had to ask for the chicken I ordered because I also ordered fresh shrimp and they forgot the chicken. She said Her chicken was too pepper spicy this time. I had Her chicken as left overs the next day and it was just fine to Me. The second portion I get is beef and broccoli. All the veggies here always seem fresh but the beef you hardly notice it's there. Like somewhere along the way the beef forgot what it tasted like. Not bad just, meh, like the steak. Hum, could be the same stuff? I used to pile up at the other China place and get 2 or 3 meals out of the like 5#+ carry out but can't go back with those kind of problems. At Panda, I only get one meal but the veggies and rice are always fresh. Oh, always ask for the carry out at Panda even if you are eating in because they can fit more in the to go container, the eat-in portions seem skimpy, or maybe it's just Us and it just looks like more in a to go container. Take your pick. So at Panda the value is in getting a fresh meal instead of a meal that has been sitting all day at the buffet like at Our other China place. Panda just needs to find out where in the hell the taste in the steak and chicken went off to?!? It's like the meat taste went on permanent...

This place never has anything ready when you go through drive thru....you always have to park in drive thru waiting....then they say it will be 3 to 4 minutes which turns into 10 minutes or more.....Management at this store has no clue

Follow up on this as I waited 15 minutes for my drive thru order to come out to my car and they didn't show up but they were serving other customers in drive thru and were leaving. When I went in the store I looked to see if my order was ready and it was not. I asked for a refund and got it. Personally I think the person that was working drive thru never put my order in to be filled. This store has a big issue with having items ready to serve when a customer is ordering them. I have been to several other panda expresses and never had the sorry service I have received at this store over and over again. I keep going back and hoping they have figured out how to run their business at that store but to this day they have no idea.

I know the old saying is that doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result is a sign of insanity. Well, to keep my sanity I will never go to this location again ever and I would caution others to expect delays and long waits for their food if they even get their food. I wish those willing to...

Never been to a Panda Express before but always wanted to just never had a chance to stop by one. Tonight I did and when I got there it was exactly one hour before they were scheduled to close. There was literally nothing left of anything so a lady ahead of me ask if there was any more Beijing beef. The girl says well I guess we can make some for you so I said we'll make that enough for me too because that's what I'll be having. They have an open kitchen. It's not like we weren't all standing right there in front of them the entire time that one of the girls working did nothing but complain about how they're slow and then right before they close they get busy. Then the cook in the back starts getting mad. I could clearly hear him cussing. Why the f r all these people ordering this stuff? We're about to close. Its 8:30 and they close at 9:30 so I'm not understanding. I was in the restaurant industry for 27 years and work with people like this but what they have to understand that this is an open kitchen and people can actually hear what you're saying. The food was awesome but I will absolutely not go back to this specific...
