I’ve been so excited to try Shadrachs ever since they started construction, and today was the day! I looked at the menu online beforehand to decide what I would want to get. This is a standalone store with no dine in option, but there is a walk up window and an impressive drive through. My order was taken by the store’s co-owner, Anna Marie (she owns it with her husband), and we had a great chat about the store finally opening!
I ordered a 24oz iced Campfire Mocha from the Secret Menu, which has white chocolate, regular chocolate, and toasted marshmallow flavors. It blew me away! The coffee is so rich and the flavors all melded together so well, no single flavor overpowered the drink.
After I ordered, Anna Marie offered for me to try 2 of the energy drinks, the Rad Shaddys as they’re called. These 2 were Strawberry Blondie (strawberry and mango flavors) and Sour Patch Kiddo (blue raspberry and green apple). Both were delicious! She told me these can also be made into lemonades, I’m sure that would be great too.
The coffee is delicious and the customer service was so welcoming. I will definitely be back to Shadrachs!! Even after one visit this is already one of my top favorite...
Read moreDrive thru was about 7 cars deep when I got in line. They had 2 ladies outside taking orders on ipads. I was greeted, asked for my phone number for rewards- the lady acknowledged that I was a first timer and then asked if I needed more time to browse the menu. I had already looked on their website and just knew the Kahula Kicker (caramel and irish creme with breve) was my drink of choice today. The website did not tell their sizing - 16oz, 24oz or 32oz. I opted for the 24oz iced. I stated that I did not want whip if whip came on it, the lady confirmed that no whip came on it so I was good and no worries for getting whip. Payment with a card was taken right there and I pulled ahead. I got to the drive thru "door" and another lady had my drink ready, she asked if I wanted to take a sip before driving off to make sure it tastes ok. I opted not to do this, however I drove off and that first sip was like heaven. It wasn't too sweet, wasn't thick, syrup-y, espresso was smooth, my only complaint is the coffee taste wasn't strong, I tasted 100% of the flavorings, which was delicious. Overall, I would come back and very pleased I opted to try someplace new while I was visiting...
Read moreI absolutely love Shadrachs! And I’m so excited to have one locally. I’ve been going to them for almost 5 years now. Whenever summer/winter came and I wouldn’t be close to one, I would always get a bag of beans to have it at home. They’re always super friendly and the drinks are always made exactly the same! (Unlike Starbucks and Duncan, where it’s different every time you go).
My only complaint is that the employees are basically forced to talk to the customers while they wait. Sometimes it’s refreshing, but 90% of the time I leave exhausted. On mornings when I am tired and not in the mood, I almost dread getting coffee because I don’t want to have to be forced to converse with someone about my day, weekend, or favorite memory. I don’t blame the employees at all, and I always try to be friendly. But most of the time, I just want to be left alone. No forced conversation. The 5 minute wait will not kill me, and will not make me think differently about...
