Wang Garden Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Lakeland

First of all this is not Wang Garden. I have placed many carry-out orders from this restaurant over the last 26 years living in Stonebridge. This evening I placed an order for chicken fried rice and hot and sour soup. The fried rice did not contain any vegetables and it was bland. The flavor of the soup was off. It wasn't until I got home and looked on the receipt and saw that it says Lucky Cajun Garden across the top. I feel that it is misleading and dishonest for the new restaurant owner to promote themselves as Wang Garden when it's not the same food.

All of you who like Lucky Cajun Garden's food, more power to you, but it's not Wang Garden. I won't be returning.

In response to the owner's comments below, You can call yourself Wang Garden, or any other name, but the Chinese food you are serving is not of the same caliber as the Wang Garden that operated from this location for many years. Different owners, different chef, different recipes = different food = different restaurant.You are promoting your version of "Wang Garden" restaurant based on the reputation of the food that was prepared at the original restaurant. Slowly, but surely anyone who used to order from Wang Garden will realize that your restaurant is not the same, the food is not the same and they will come to the same conclusion....

Very fresh, very good food. Yes, there is a bit of a wait, but it is a sit down restaurant where the food is cooked fresh - a bit of a wait is to be expected. The ability to call in an order is nice, but I have yet to take advantage of that. Maybe sometime in the near future I will.

The owners are incredibly nice. I'm quite certain anyone who has really had a bad experience really just encountered a miscommunication with the staff: The Chinese language is tonally based, and (long story short) native Chinese speakers often don't quite understand what tone they should have. I assure you the staff want to do their best to give you the best meal experience they can.

Seriously, Wang Garden just perfectly fits what I like in my Asian food places - good food, good portions, and a very nice, cozy atmosphere with great low lighting, and again, the very nice staff who do just want to serve some good food.

My experience here was terrible. The customer service is terrible. I ordered two large shrimp fried rice and was only given three duck sauces. I asked for extra from “Mrs. Lee” (the name age give me) and she said I already gave you extra. She charge me $.25 per package. Then her husband came out and said don’t charge him after she already charge me in their language. She threw the sausages that I just paid for in my bag and told me to leave. I asked for the manager and he said I am the manager and this is my wife. I got the car I proceeded to walk outside to take a picture of the front of the establishment to post about them. Mr. Lee ran outside and took a picture of me and said that you’re not the only people with cameras. I walked back inside to confront him and it took every bone in my body not to retaliate.
