Lennys Grill & Subs — Restaurant in Lakeland

I was basically accused of stealing food from this location, by the Manager (of whom wasn't even professional enough to interact with me herself and just relayed messages through one of the workers). On Wednesday August 20th, 2025, I placed a pickup order through Door Dash. When I got there they said they couldn't find the other until one of the workers looked in their system and said that the order had already picked up. I told them that no one else has access to my account, so whatever happened didn't have to do with me. The worker went and asked the manager about it and the manager told the worker to tell me that they would remake my order, but the next time that I pulled something like that, they wouldn't remake the order for me. "The next time I pull something like this"?!??! I've never been accused of stealing anything, let alone a sandwich combo from a sandwich shop. I told the worker to inform the manager that it's insane that it was easier for her to assume I stole a sandwich, than it is for her to believe that one of her workers gave my order away. I've been ordering pick up from Lennys through Door Dash since I moved to Lakeland and I've never had an issue picking up my order until now. The entire interaction was so insulting that I won't be spending another dime of my money...

My wife and I are very loyal Lenny's customers and have been for many years. We often order from this location because the food and service is always spot on. Today was a VERY different experience. We walk in to order and is seems like we just entered a funeral wake. The staff seemed to have a look of mourning on all their faces. We were not greeted by one single person working in the restaurant, making us feel as if we were an inconvenience.

My wife ordered her usual mile-high turkey sandwich and wanted to add roast beef. The person behind the counter informs her that this is not possible and that we could only add salami...Confused, my wife asked if they were out of roast beef. The person said no. We were simply weren't allowed to PAY for something we have always been able for until today. Why just salami? No explanation, just a an awkward look back and forth. I went to Lenny's on highway 64 in Lakeland this afternoon to get our dinner after I got off work I walked in and ordered one giant meatball Sandwich no swiss on it then I went to the next sandwich I need another meatball sandwich no bread The cashier turned around and asked the manager how do I ring up the meatball sandwich with no bread the manager turned around and said we don't do sandwiches without bread we are a Sandwich shop and I said that I'm diabetic in bread is not good for me and I prefer not to have the bread Well if you order here you're gonna get it on bread. The manager was just defiant and disrespectful to the customer and no regards to any medical conditions and I think that's horrible in someone if you want your food a certain way you should be able to get your food that way I mean look at it this way they would have made more money on that sandwich because they save that big giant piece of bread that they're probably charging $5 for...
