We stayed here 10/1-5/2025 for my husband's Navy Reunion. Overall the hotel was nice, all the staff were nice & personable. We were in room 525, the room was a deluxe King suite that had a "living room" separated by a sink area & door. This area had a ceiling fan which helped some but not as much as one would hope, as the air unit didn't truly give any air flow to that room. Also, the air unit didn't have an option for the fan to be ran continuously. This would have helped with the room not feeling "damp". The towels in the bathroom never truly dried even with the bathroom light/fan being on all night. Also, there were birds on the air unit that "woke up" early which was rather annoying when it sounded like they were in the room. I don't know that this could be "fixed" & the unit work properly. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were not. They were like a half pillow and even using 2 didn't help. I would suggest taking your own if possible. The rooms have a single serve Keurig which you could get pods, but I would take your own if you want a variety or flavored coffee.||The breakfast was nice, however, Saturday & Sunday they ran out of things & others weren't filled as quick as could have been. They had real scrambled eggs (not powdered ones), sausage gravy, sausage links/patties, biscuits, a variety of breads/muffins, cereal, a yogurt machine (this was empty on Sunday & not refilled) juices. There was also a waffle iron, that desperately needs to be replaced. No matter how much spray you sprayed on it the waffles never came out whole, they were always in pieces.||It didn't look like the elevator had really been "cleaned" as the floor was dirty & the buttons had "something" on them the entire stay.||If the "little details" were better I would have...
Read moreOverpriced for what's offered. If I were paying $45/night for a room at this hotel I might make my ratings higher but for almost $95? No way...
Someone else mentioned the sandpaper like towels in another review. I had almost forgotten about this but I had the same experience.
The bathroom in the room I stayed in was EXTREMELY small. I had to put myself on an angle when sitting on the toilet otherwise my leg would have crushed the toilet paper. I'm not a big guy by any means, so for those with a few extra pounds, this is a warning.
One more thing about the bathroom... I found two ants crawling on the walls of the shower (this was a second floor room BTW.) I'm not really sure what to make of this and tried not to think of it too much when I went to bed. I did upload a video of this to youtube a while back.
BTW, did I mention the bathroom was pathetically small? It needs to be said again if not :) And the decor... pink tiles from the 70's. Ugh.
There was distinct tobacco smell in the room.. it wasn't powerful but I did notice it. The hotel is currently non-smoking in all rooms but maybe that's a fairly recent change?
I don't know much about the neighbourhood but they do have a security guard on watch and twice during the night I saw a police cruiser drive around the parking lot. This did have me feeling a little uneasy because of all the computer equipment that I had in the car... I figure this was worth mentioning.
The only good thing I can say about this place was the breakfast.... it was comprehensive and very well done.
Would I stay here again? Not a fat chance in .... For the same price or probably less there is a La Quinta just five minutes away. I haven't stayed there before but I'll bet it's a lot better...
Read moreWell let's begin that we were stuck in the elevator for over 20 plus. I had to call the front desk a few times. Before we were let out the elevator. Only to find out that the other elevator also had kids that got stuck as well. The small refrigerator was not working properly. I had to call a few times down to the front desk for towels and other toiletries. I reported this all to the front desk. On every incident, including the toilet being clogged up. The breakfast was ok, the kids enjoyed the hot chocolate/coffee machine. I will say the staff was ok. A few were friendly especially on our first night. Not sure if the young ladies names. When I checked out I asked who I needed to talk to about my experience. I was told to talk to the call in the morning. To talk to the manager Sherri. For our first time staying here. The experience was not a good one. I asked housekeeping for certain things. And I was told I don't speak English. Even after I pointed to what I needed. To say with everything that happened this weekend. I don't think I will be back. Getting stuck in the elevator when your child had to use the bathroom. Oh and it said no pets allowed when a guest had their dog. On the furniture and everywhere else. This was the main reason why I wanted to stay there. Our room was not clean the whole stay. I checked in Thursday and checked out Sunday. The young lady Thursday night said she would document what happened to us. Being stuck in the elevator not sure if she did or not. Also the young ladies Thursday night help with bringing extra bedding for the...
