VIETNAMESE STREET FOOD LLC — Restaurant in Lakeland

WOW. I normally don't leave reviews but with this one I just had to. I'm a pho fanatic and drive all the way to Winter Haven for amazing pho. Saw this food truck pop up on my Google maps and was surprised how close it was to those who live closer to the combee area, so I had to give it a shot. The place unfortunately is easy to miss when driving by, so you have to be on the lookout for it (it's right in front of a dollar general). I showed up on a freezing Saturday night, at around 7:30pm (they close at 8pm!). I asked for pho and a vietnamese coffee. The owner was extremely attentive and accommodating, preparing my order right away. I saw him freshly preparing my food which was a PLUS. The coffee was amazing, very well traditionally tasting, not watered down. When I finally got home and unwrapped everything I was in awe. Loads of basil, green onions, bean sprouts, and cilantro just to name a few of the herbs. The ingredients were all in all extremely fresh, including the various meats. The broth alone is extremely rich in taste, a little to the salty side but very well done. Once the broth and the fillings were mixed however the saltiness eased in PERFECTLY. I wouldn't make any changes to it. I'd give this place 10 stars if I could. I also like that it's much easier to get to this location than having to drive through downtown Lakeland traffic to pay for pho that is adequate to this one. And for the amount you get for the price? I'm not complaining!!! This will be my new go to. Mouth watering pho with plentiful fillings, amazing Vietnamese coffee. Next time I'll try the banh mi. For now I'm keeping this secret gem...

Place is way out on Combee in a semi random spot. Worth the trip? Absolutely. Don’t bother with any hot dogs or hamburgers go directly to the Vietnamese food. I had the pho, pork and rice platter and a bahn mi. Delicious. Fresh. Flavorful. Full of herbs and veggies.
